Le rêve des Français n'est pas mort ce jeudi... mais il a pris un sacré coup sur cette 5e étape du Tour de Suisse ! Lors de l'étape reine de cette 88e édition, c'est Oscar Onley (Picnic PostNL) qui s'est imposé au sommet de Santa Maria in Calanca, au terme d'un duel haletant avec Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates XRG). Les tricolores ont eux vécu des sorts divers. Si le maillot jaune Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ) a explosé loin de l'arrivée, Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor) et Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa-B&B hotels) se sont eux bien battus. Malgré une lourde perte de temps sur Onley et Almeida, Vauquelin s'empare du maillot jaune ! 01:49and then when I saw he was coming back then I

01:51backed off a little bit so that I could

01:53kind of recover a little bit for

01:55when he caught up to me

01:57and then yeah it was just

01:59up to the legs in that final sprint

02:03yeah he almost had me again

02:05and when he was coming around me

02:07with 50 meters to go I thought

02:09I thought he was gonna get it but

02:11I'm happy to pull it off

02:13is this week the little boost you needed

02:15to realize what you're capable of

02:21but I get quite consistent results
