00:03:00There's something following us.
00:03:27There's nothing out there. It's your imagination.
00:03:29I don't think so.
00:03:31Weren't there supposed to be bears or something around here?
00:03:33No.
00:03:34Besides, they're more frightened of us than we are of them.
00:03:37Be too sure.

00:06:47the fourth time this week we have another three-stage smog alert the air in the Los
00:07:06Angeles basin is unfit to breathe now let's check the traffic Hollywood freeway northbound
00:07:12south of Alvarado and exit in the clearing stages with no details and draw a freeway eastbound
00:07:17at Van Nuys off-ramp an accident working use Woodman to get around that problem San Diego freeway over the
00:07:24pass is open but moving slowly now let's go downtown and check in with one of the nicest guys in the
00:07:31highway patrol officer Ed Giza head well thank you and good afternoon Harry and I'm sure glad we're
00:07:37inside and not out on those freeways it's busy this afternoon an uninjury accident just reported
00:07:42San Diego southbound of Barranca a car and a truck cloth of some kind of minor altercation once past that
00:07:48problem though driving picks up to 25 miles per hour and this one just reported westbound Ventura east of
00:07:54White Oak another fender bender get some music on that thing I can't take this anymore I gotta get
00:08:05out of here I'm going nuts I know what you mean all the smog this heat two hours to go 20 miles this is
00:08:12ridiculous you know Charlie just take it easy look at all these clowns they're all crazy hey I'm surrounded
00:08:18by insanity you know something Charlie I think you need a vacation why don't we go camping I got a
00:08:25place that nobody goes why not because they don't know about it look I don't know Steve now come on it

00:09:03we'll cook up some steaks what do you say that sounds good you bring the steaks
00:09:08so you guys want to go camping and without us well uh we'd invite you along but we kind of doubt if
00:09:30you could take it ah well it just might interest you to know that we could take it a lot better
00:09:34than you two over the hill boys I doubt that oh yeah well as a matter of fact we were thinking of
00:09:40going camping ourselves yourselves you mean alone what is so funny about that nothing it's just that
00:09:52uh you couldn't do it the first coyote howling will send you running for home is that a fact
00:09:59that's a fact listen we're not talking about Winnebago camping here we're talking about
00:10:05roughing it yeah you know backpacking big deal yeah who couldn't do that you couldn't

00:11:20right big mouth hey I got an idea why don't we all go camping together it might even be fun
00:11:28mm-mm not a chance I am not going camping with him why not because he's a male chauvinist
00:11:35and proud of it now listen all kidding aside this could be very dangerous by yourself
00:11:44typical male trick you know whenever you guys don't want us to go somewhere or do something you
00:11:50you always say it might be dangerous or risky just like they're bears or wolves or rapists out there
00:11:55rapists rapists rapists yes rapists you see they sneak up behind you they grab you and drag you into
00:12:06the woods and then they had their way with you more than you're gonna have your hands off of me
00:12:11anyway it's out of the question

00:14:41Teddy why didn't we wait for them I'm not sure really but I think it had something to do with
00:14:56that arrogant macho attitude of his oh I see as compared to our independent self-sufficient one
00:15:03mm-hmm I guess that's about it well I hope you know what you're doing me too
00:15:08I just need to find myself

00:21:14I wonder.
00:21:15I wonder if I could have a good idea.
00:21:17I wonder if I could have a good idea.
00:21:19I wonder if I could have a good idea.
00:21:21I wonder if I could have a good idea.
00:21:25I wonder if I could have a good idea.
00:21:29I wonder if I could have a good idea.
00:22:02Oh, no. It's not going to rain, is it?
00:22:28What does the book say?
00:22:29Put up a tent.
00:22:32Where is it?
00:22:35I think you've got it.
00:22:38Well, there it is.
00:22:44It's going to rain before we can think of this now.
00:22:47Terrific.
00:22:48There it is.
00:22:50I'm going to rain.
00:22:52I'm going to rain.
00:22:53Let's go.
00:23:23Hey, hey.
00:23:32Oh, shit.
00:23:33The sun's almost down.
00:23:35Hey, don't worry.

00:23:41You know, it looks like rain, too.
00:23:43You kidding me?
00:23:44It never rains in California.
00:23:45Yeah, maybe not.
00:23:47But I'll tell you one thing.
00:23:48It's going to be dark in about an hour.
00:23:49Yeah, I know.
00:23:50Say, you know how to get to this place at night?
00:23:52I don't know.
00:23:52Well, I'm going to give it my best shot.
00:23:56Which way do you suggest?
00:23:58Why don't you try following me?
00:24:00All right.
00:24:00You boys going back in there tonight?
00:24:15Yeah, why?
00:24:17Kind of late, ain't it?
00:24:18Oh, yeah, a little.
00:24:19You know where you're going?
00:24:21Yeah.
00:24:22I, uh, I hope so.
00:24:24Well, be careful.
00:24:26You know, over the years, there's been some people who ain't come back from in there.
00:24:30Why not?
00:24:31Who knows?
00:24:32Fell off a cliff, drowned.
00:24:34The only strange thing is, they're still missing.
00:24:37We never even found their bodies.
00:24:39It's, uh, pretty weird, isn't it?
00:24:40How long will you be gone?
00:24:43I don't know, uh, five, six days?
00:24:45Why?
00:24:46We like to know these things.
00:24:48I'll check back in a week.
00:24:50You boys have a good time.
00:24:51Oh, say, listen, uh, you didn't happen to see the owner of that car, did you?
00:24:56Nope.
00:24:57Just got here myself.
00:24:59Be careful.
00:25:00Yeah.
00:25:02There's nothing to fear, is there yet?
00:25:15People do disappear, but where do they hide?
00:25:21In the dark side of the forest.
00:25:27Now don't you get lost, keep watching.
00:25:32You have to pay the cost, cause many have died in the dark side.
00:25:41Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, watch it.
00:25:45Oops, I'm sorry, boss.
00:25:46Do you go and come again?
00:25:50Back to where you've already been.
00:25:52You coming?
00:25:53I just.
00:25:54There's nothing to fear for what you do.
00:25:58Who do you give your eye over you?
00:26:02In the dark side, in the dark side.
00:26:05This don't look like any damn trail of me.
00:26:08Yeah.
00:26:08Well, you want to leave?
00:26:09Come on, it's good to leave.
00:26:12Ah, shit.
00:26:13In the dark side, in the dark side of the forest.
00:26:22Hey, hey, are you sure this is quick?
00:26:25Look, I know I've seen this place a hundred times already.
00:26:27Look, what do you want from me?
00:26:28It was your damn car that died.
00:26:30I know, I know.
00:26:31And besides, whose idea was it for this stupid camping trip anyway?
00:26:33All right, all right.
00:26:35All right, all right.
00:26:36You're sweet on, Daniel Boone.
00:26:37You know, this isn't half bad.
00:26:49Yeah, but I wish Steve and Charlie were here.
00:26:52Who needs them?
00:26:54Oh, wow.
00:26:55I do.
00:27:02It's getting scary out here.

00:27:45You never knew her.
00:27:47I knew all your friends.
00:27:48Not this one.
00:27:49She was from before.
00:27:51Before what?
00:27:51You know, last time.
00:27:56Oh.
00:28:02I love you.
00:28:07Hey, hey.

00:28:15I want to stay here.
00:28:18I'll stay too.
00:28:19I wish the men were here.
00:28:35Yeah.
00:28:36I hate to admit it, but me too.
00:28:38I want to stay here.
00:28:48Mom, I told you we better go.
00:28:50Be quiet.
00:28:50My sisters will be beaten.
00:28:53Have you seen my children?
00:29:02You see them.
00:29:03Send them home.
00:29:05They must be punished.

00:30:04Oh, I don't know, Charlie. I think we're lost.
00:30:09Come on, Steve. How can you be lost?
00:30:11Well, things look different at night, all right?
00:30:15Let's go this way.
00:30:35Where have you been?

00:39:23You think you can find your way tomorrow?
00:39:24A hell of a lot better than tonight.
00:39:25Come on.
00:39:26Come on.
00:39:27Come on.
00:39:28Come on.
00:39:29Hey.

00:39:31Hey.
00:39:32Hey.
00:39:33It's kind of spooky in here, huh?
00:39:34Hey, Charlie, what do you think?
00:39:35It looks like a light.
00:39:37Yeah, sure does.
00:39:38But that doesn't make any sense.
00:39:39Nothing about this trip makes any sense.
00:39:41Come on.
00:39:42Let's see what we're going on now.
00:39:43Hey.
00:39:44Come on.
00:39:45Come on.
00:39:46Come on.
00:39:47Come on.

00:39:55Come on.
00:39:56Come on.
00:39:57Come on.
00:39:58Come on.
00:39:59Come on.
00:40:00Come on.
00:40:01Come on.
00:40:02This trip makes any sense.
00:40:04Come on, let's see where it comes from.
00:40:05Oh, wait a minute, that's not a good idea.
00:40:07Why not?
00:40:08It's probably just a couple of campers that are caught in the rain like us.
00:40:13Whatever you say, Steve.
00:40:16Go ahead, lead on.
00:40:17You've been doing pretty good so far.
00:40:30What do you think of this?
00:40:32They don't look like campers, does it?
00:40:35I'll admit that.
00:40:37What do you think?
00:40:38Should we knock?
00:40:40Maybe nobody's home, huh?
00:40:42No, no, no, hold it.
00:40:43There's something cooking on the stove over there.
00:40:46It sure smells funny.
00:40:47I wonder what it is.
00:40:48Beats me.
00:40:49You're the cook.
00:40:50Only since I married Teddy.
00:40:54You shouldn't be here.
00:40:56If Daddy sees you, he will be angry.
00:40:59Oh, well, we just wanted to come in out of the rain.
00:41:01That's all.
00:41:02Where is your father?
00:41:04Stand behind you.
00:41:09Hello.
00:41:14Welcome.
00:41:16Thanks.
00:41:17It's kind of wet out there.
00:41:18Yes, it is.
00:41:19I was just fixing myself something to eat.
00:41:23Would you care to join me?
00:41:24Oh, no thanks.
00:41:25Nothing for me.
00:41:26What about you, Charlie?
00:41:28Sure, why not?
00:41:31Oh, say, what about the kids?
00:41:33What kids?
00:41:34What kids?
00:41:36Well, the two kids over here.
00:41:40Where'd they go?
00:41:42I don't know.
00:41:45Are they yours?
00:41:48Yeah.
00:41:49They were mine.
00:42:03I would offer you a chair, but I sell with half visitors.
00:42:18Well, that's okay.
00:42:19We'll just sit on the ground.
00:42:33Do you live here?
00:42:54Yes.
00:42:58Alone?
00:42:59Yes.
00:43:00Well, what about the children?
00:43:06They only come to visit.
00:43:08But I thought they were yours.
00:43:11They stay with their mother.
00:43:16Have you been living here long?
00:43:17Yes.
00:43:24At least longer than I wanted to.
00:43:32If you have a knife, you can join me.
00:43:36Oh, no thanks.
00:43:37I'm not hungry.
00:43:40If you don't have a knife, you can use mine.
00:43:44Oh, no, it's not that.
00:43:45I have a knife.
00:43:46I'm just not hungry.
00:43:48What about you, Charlie?
00:43:51Just a little piece.
00:43:53If you don't mind.
00:44:11It's pretty good.
00:44:12What is it?
00:44:16It's a dough.
00:44:18A little old, but tasty.
00:44:22Aren't they out of season?
00:44:25They're always in season when you're hungry.
00:44:36Charlie, what's the matter?
00:44:43I've just got to chill.
00:44:44I've just got to chill.
00:45:12I've just got to chill.
00:45:16How did you come to be living here?
00:45:22That's a long story.
00:45:29I'd like to tell somebody, though.
00:45:31Would you listen?
00:45:33Sure, why not?
00:45:37We don't have anything else to do.
00:45:42It all happened a long time ago.
00:45:45Or at least I think it was a long time ago.
00:45:50Are either of you married?
00:45:54We both are.
00:45:56I used to be married.
00:46:00Had a wife and the two kids.
00:46:02I was a happy man.
00:46:04Or at least I thought I was.
00:46:07And then everything changed.
00:46:10It seemed every time I came home there'd be somebody there.
00:46:13A salesman.
00:46:17A repairman.
00:46:22Sometimes it was even delivery boys.
00:46:27I didn't think too much about it at first.
00:46:31Then one day I got sick.
00:46:33And I came home early.
00:46:43I got sick.
00:47:09Relax.
00:47:11It's only my husband one.
00:47:21Hi, honey.
00:47:23What are you doing on from work so early?
00:47:29Well, I suppose you're wondering who this is.
00:47:32This is Carl.
00:47:34He's come to fix the water heater.
00:47:37Refrigerator.
00:47:38Oh, was it the refrigerator?
00:47:40Yeah.
00:47:44Where are the kids?
00:47:57Why did you do this?
00:47:59They like to play in there.
00:48:03You children run out in the yard and play, okay?
00:48:06Yeah, well, I better go along then to fix the water heater.
00:48:10Uh, refrigerator.
00:48:12What'd you expect me to do?
00:48:14You're practically impotent.
00:48:15You're only surprised you didn't figure it out long ago.
00:48:16All those men, they weren't here on business.
00:48:21They were my lovers.
00:48:24They gave me something you never could.
00:48:25They gave me something you never could.
00:48:29Well, then what happened?
00:48:30What'd you do?
00:48:31Well, then what happened?
00:48:32What'd you do?
00:48:33Well, then what happened?
00:48:34What'd you do?
00:48:35Well, then what happened?
00:48:36What'd you do?
00:48:38I did what any man would've done.
00:48:39I did what any man would've done.
00:48:40I did what any man would've done.
00:48:43What?
00:48:44What?
00:48:45I did what any man would've done.
00:48:50Nothing.
00:48:51I didn't do anything at all.
00:48:57Nothing.
00:49:09Nothing. I didn't do anything at all.
00:49:39I didn't do anything at all.
00:50:09No one has touched me like one special kind.
00:50:17John, stop it. You're hurting me.
00:50:22The temperature grows ignited.

00:58:45What do you think, Stephen?
00:58:47We had to go back to the campsite and see if the girls were there.
00:58:51If not, I think we would have asked that old man.
00:58:54Maybe he saw them.
00:58:56That's a good idea. Come on, Charlie.
00:59:06Hey, Charlie, come here a minute.
00:59:31Okay, tell me, what do you make of that?
00:59:37It's wet dirt. Sometimes they call it mud.
00:59:43Yeah, I guess you're right.
00:59:46You know, it's real strange, though. It's really sticky.
00:59:53Come on, let's go see that old man. I got a feeling about him.
01:00:01It's not here.
01:00:18I guess not.
01:00:20You know something, Charlie?
01:00:22I don't like the feel of this at all.
01:00:24Me neither. Come on, let's get out of here.
01:00:26All right.
01:00:31I get out of here.
01:00:32еще time for 10 years.
01:00:46Come on!
01:00:49Please don't hurt me.
01:00:50Don't hurt me!!!!
01:00:52Please!
01:00:53We don't want to. We just want to be your friends.
01:00:57We've come to warn you.
01:00:59Warn me.
01:01:00Daddy's going hunting again.
01:01:02Please help me.
01:01:04Then you must hide.
01:01:06Daddy will soon be here.
01:01:08He knows where you are.
01:01:13Here he comes now.
01:01:15Run and hide over there. There are some large rocks that you cave.
01:01:18Hurry, or Daddy will eat you.
01:01:23I'll try again.
01:01:25I'll try again.
01:01:27I'll try again later.
01:01:29See you soon.
01:01:31The dude's a cat.
01:01:33Daddy's.
01:01:35The cat is so funny.
01:01:38There is a cat.
01:01:40He's still alive.
01:01:42I don't know if you want to.
01:01:44But I'm sure you're not this big one...
01:01:46The dog has to hide.
01:01:49He's sticking with his Daughter.
01:02:21All right, now. I think it's time we went for the authorities.
01:02:37Come on, Steve. We may be jumping to conclusions. For all we know, they're out walking.
01:02:41Oh, come on. You don't really believe that.
01:02:43I don't know what to believe. All I know is a six-hour hike back to the car.
01:02:48Now, what is that supposed to mean?
01:02:49It means we won't be able to get there until it's the dark.
01:02:51So what?
01:02:54Remember how we got lost on the way in?
01:02:57Are you saying we're supposed to just stay here?
01:03:00I don't know what I'm saying.
01:03:05Look, Steve, there's probably nothing wrong.
01:03:08They're probably out there hiking or...
01:03:11Or what?
01:03:13Or what?
01:03:17That's with my reason.
01:03:20All right, then. I think we ought to go back.
01:03:22And what if the girls show up? Are we to leave them here alone again?
01:03:25So are we supposed to stay here and do nothing?
01:03:30Hey, Charlie, look.
01:03:32Look, I'm sorry, all right?
01:03:33Oh, what do you suggest?
01:03:40Simple.
01:03:42One goes and one stays.
01:03:44Oh, no, look. I don't know about splitting up.
01:03:45That's usually not a good idea.
01:03:48Well, this isn't an unusual situation.
01:03:52All right, then.
01:03:53Who goes and who stays?
01:03:55Well, obviously, you've got to go.
01:03:57You're the only one that knows his way back to the car.
01:03:59Okay, Charlie, look.
01:04:09I'll tell you what.
01:04:10Let's take one more quick look around the campsite.
01:04:13If we're still in the same situation, then...
01:04:16All right, I'll go.
01:04:20I don't know what else to do.
01:04:21I don't know what else to do.
01:04:29I don't know what else to do.
01:04:59Say, why don't you leave that here? You won't need it.
01:05:09Maybe not, but I'd feel better with it than without it.
01:05:12I guess you know best.
01:05:14Now, be careful, will you?
01:05:15Hey, you too.
01:05:17Now, look, don't you fall asleep again, all right?
01:05:19Yeah, I couldn't fall asleep if my life's dependent on it.
01:05:23Yeah, well, I hope it doesn't.
01:05:25See you later.
01:05:27Take care of yourself.
01:05:27Hey, hurry up, will you?
01:05:30Hey, you got your knife?
01:05:31You better believe it.
01:05:32See you later.
01:05:44Bye.
01:05:53Oh, my God.
01:06:23Oh
01:06:53Oh
01:07:23Are you I'm John junior, and I'm Jennifer. We were named after our parents
01:07:47Where do you come from you stay here? Here's where?
01:07:53Just here in the woods. By yourself? Mostly, but sometimes we visit our father
01:08:01Where's your mother? We don't like her. She was mean
01:08:06Was? She's dead. Daddy killed her
01:08:11Killed her? Why? Because she was a bad mommy. She used to beat us and lock us in the closet
01:08:20Even now she's trying to punish us
01:08:22She keeps looking for us
01:08:24And we always hide
01:08:26Are both of you dead as well?
01:08:28Yes, of course
01:08:30Sorry
01:08:32It's okay
01:08:34It's better than being alive
01:08:36Being alive is so sad
01:08:38How did you die?
01:08:40We killed ourselves
01:08:42Killed yourselves?
01:08:44We killed ourselves
01:08:46Killed yourselves?
01:08:47Yes
01:08:48Oh my God
01:08:50We were so unhappy
01:08:52Living alone in the cave with Daddy
01:08:54Then we got sick
01:08:56And didn't want to live anymore
01:08:58So we died
01:09:00How horrible your life must have been
01:09:04Daddy was very sad when he died
01:09:06He went crazy
01:09:08Been crazy ever since
01:09:10Maybe next time things will be better
01:09:16Next time?
01:09:18We killed ourselves
01:09:20We killed ourselves
01:09:21We killed ourselves
01:09:22We killed ourselves
01:09:23We killed ourselves
01:09:24We killed ourselves
01:09:25We killed ourselves
01:09:26We killed ourselves
01:09:27We killed ourselves
01:09:28We killed ourselves
01:09:29We killed ourselves
01:09:30We killed ourselves
01:09:31We killed ourselves
01:09:32We killed ourselves
01:09:33We killed ourselves
01:09:34We killed ourselves
01:09:35We killed ourselves
01:09:36We killed ourselves
01:09:37We killed ourselves
01:09:38We killed ourselves
01:09:39We killed ourselves
01:09:40We killed ourselves
01:09:41We killed ourselves
01:09:42We killed ourselves
01:09:43We killed ourselves
01:09:44We killed ourselves
01:09:45We killed ourselves
01:09:46We killed ourselves
01:09:47We killed ourselves
01:09:48Oh, we've got to tell you something.
01:09:58Something important.
01:10:00What? What is it?
01:10:02There are two men looking for you.
01:10:04And one's hurt.
01:10:06Hurt? Who's hurt? Where are they?
01:10:09One's at the campsite.
01:10:11And the other one's well down here and can't walk.
01:10:14Which one's where?
01:10:17You don't know?
01:10:18Can you take me to the camp?
01:10:21Don't you know where it is?
01:10:22I'm lost.
01:10:23I'll show you. Follow me.
01:10:24I don't know where it is.
01:10:28I don't know where it is.
01:10:30I have to go to the camp.
01:10:31I'll show you.
01:10:32It's everywhere.
01:10:40I don't know where it is.
