03:16You know, what's great about this movie is Elio is fighting to find himself,
03:23and the villain, Grygon, is fighting to be someone else.
03:29Tell me something.
03:29How do you manage to, because your voice is so recognizable,
03:32and you've done so many different characters, as we've said,
03:36but they're quite different, even though we do know it's you.
03:39So how do you work that?
03:41Well, I'll be really honest, and this is probably not a good thing to admit publicly,
03:49but I don't have a lot of range, and I've been told that many times.
03:54I have two voices, and I just tweak them differently.

03:58What would you tell people who are going to go see Elio,
04:01especially it's Elio Solis, so I guess he's Latin in some way,
04:04so tell me Mexican people.
04:06Yes.
04:08What I would tell them is keep the car running, park in front, enjoy the movie.

08:16Jesse Armstrong has said that this story is about exploring the almost unconscious sense of the tech power today.
08:24What was working with Jesse's script, and what may you say, yes, I want to be part of this story?
08:30Well, I love, obviously, Jesse, his work he's done.
08:35And I'm immediately excited because there's no one like him, and his ability to examine, I think, the world around us and then distort it and twist it and filter it into something that we can watch as entertainment is a very unique skill.
08:50You know, not a lot of people, you know, not a lot of people can do that with the world around them.
08:56And again, here, it's just like taking this, these four people, this type of power, this type of thing you might have heard about or seen or read in magazines about or are afraid of, and then really kind of investigating it times a million.
09:14But then also asking how is it that different from you and your friends?
09:20Absolutely.
09:21So the film was shot in a record time.
09:24Steve, what was going through such an intense creative process?
09:28I feel like we just shot it.
09:30I feel like we shot it last week and it's premiering next week.
09:34And there's an excitement and electricity to that.
09:38And also, sometimes when you don't have too much time to reconsider or to second guess yourself, it's the best.
09:44Because sometimes that first or second, you know, instinct is the best one.
09:52The movie has some serious succession, D&I.
09:56What do you think the story is saying about the tech elite and how we use or abuse of power today?
10:04Because power is a victim in this story, not just who has it, but how they use it.
10:11What do you learn about power while playing your characters?
10:14It's interesting how I think the movie almost refrains from commenting in a strange way and yet at the same time makes a huge comment about it.
10:26I don't think it editorializes about what's going on.
10:29It just shows characters involved with this sort of demise of international social order and rule of law.
10:43And I think the commenting comes within the storytelling.
10:50It was, you know, it's a shocking story to tell because it's very relevant.
10:58It could absolutely happen.
11:02And it could happen a lot sooner than we think.
11:05Or it couldn't.
11:05And that's, you know, that's up to the future to decide.
11:12But the fact that it is relevant and people see things that, you know,
11:20I think a lot of people are going to watch this and think this could absolutely be true and could happen.
11:27And it's not science fiction.
11:31And the reality of that, I think, is terrifying.
11:35While at the same time, he infuses it with a lot of satire and a lot of comedy.
11:40And it's not a feel-good movie, for sure, but it's very human.
11:45So, the first movie of which we talked about would be science fiction, would be fantasía.
11:51This second movie, I don't know how much, and I don't like to say that.
