00:00Triumph have updated their popular Trident 660 Naked for 2025, bestowing the middleweight
00:06motorcycle with a host of technical changes, a fresh selection of color choices and most
00:11impressively, no price hike, with the triple still coming in at 7,895 pounds.
00:19Available in dealers from December, the refreshed Trident retains the same simple yet sophisticated
00:24formula as before, meaning it should be as adept as ever for a broad range of riders,
00:29from beginners to the most experienced, a quality noted by our female road testers who
00:34named it our 2024 UMCN Bike of the Year. It truly is a bike that's all things to all riders and just
00:41as comfortable on the daily commute as it is scratching down back roads. Triumph say the
00:47update brings a greater focus on rider technology. This translates to a wider selection of standard
00:52fitment goodies, with features that were previously only available as extras now incorporated at no
00:59extra cost. Included among the list of now-based spec items are cruise control and an up-slash-down
01:06quickshifter. Other updates for the 2025 model year see the addition of a sport mode, in addition to the
01:13previously available rain and road settings. The biggest change, however, is the incorporation of
01:19a 6-axis IMU, inertial measurement unit, meaning the Hinkley middleweight now benefits from the additional
01:25safety net of lean-sensitive ABS and traction control. The shift to €5 is said to make no difference to
01:32performance, with an unintimidating, but nonetheless fruity 80 brake horsepower and 47LB.FT of torque
01:40available from the 660 cubic centimeters triple. There's also a 47 brake horsepower A2 ready version
01:48available for riders who are on a restricted license. Triumph spec sheet indicates that weight increases by
01:54just 1 kg to 190 kg, owing to the addition of more tech and the extra sensors required to meet the new
02:02emissions bracket. With the bike now sporting a full-color TFT, owners will be able to connect their
02:08mobile devices via Bluetooth to unlock turn-by-turn navigation, calls and music control. Triumph have made
02:16subtle chassis tweaks by softening the non-adjustable 41mm front forks slightly while simultaneously
02:22increasing compression and rebound damping using Showa's SFFBF Big Piston Damping Tech.
02:28The Showa rear monoshock settings remain unchanged, with only preload available for tweaking.
02:35Color options grow to four choices for 2025, with Cosmic Yellow, Cobalt Blue, and Diablo Red
02:42now available in addition to last year's Jet Black paint job. Service intervals remain an impressive
02:4810,000 miles, and seat height stays at 805mm.
