00:00Hello, everybody. Welcome along to Wednesday's House of Games.
00:12I'm Richard Osmond, joined by four famous faces all week.
00:15One of them is going to walk away with this trophy right here.
00:19Who is it going to be? We've had two different winners on the first two days.
00:22Our players are Kirsten O'Brien.
00:25Christina Horrigu.
00:27Mike Bubbins.
00:29Kai Woodington.
00:31Hello, everyone.
00:32Just before we went on air, Mike was saying his greatest ambition of all time is to be on Strictly.
00:37Number one ambition.
00:38He's going to try and make it happen.
00:39Everything in my life is built towards that.
00:41So, I mean, it would eclipse everything.
00:43Don't you think so, Kai?
00:44The birth of my kids.
00:45I think so. Everything.
00:46I bet he's a good dancer as well, Mike.
00:48I can move. I can move.
00:49Yeah, no, I bet you can.
00:50Don't be worried about that.
00:51You know what? I think it's the full package.
00:53I agree.
00:54Talking of full packages, if you know what I mean, Kirsten, a win for you yesterday.
00:57Yes.
00:58That was nice, wasn't it?
00:59A prize, a decanter.
01:00A decanter.
01:01I feel pressure off today.
01:02I feel like.
01:03Exactly.
01:04You and Mike both got to win under your belt.
01:05Shall we take a look at the weekly leaderboard, in fact?
01:07Because you are tied at the top.
01:08Tied for gold there.
01:10And we have tied for bronze as well.
01:13Christine, bronze medal place at the moment.
01:16You've won bronzes in your career.
01:17I have.
01:18But you've won more golds than bronzes.
01:19I have.
01:20How can we get you into the gold medal position here?
01:22It's a really good question, and I'm still figuring out the answer when I figure out the answer.
01:27You're sitting in between two full packages.
01:29It's hard.
01:30I really am.
01:31It's very tough competition here.
01:32I really am.
01:33Yeah.
01:34Really tough competition.
01:35Yeah.
01:36If you ever wanted a nickname, Mike, the full package.
01:37Yeah, I love it.
01:39Kai, should we take a look at today's prizes?
01:41Let's do it.
01:42If you were to win today, you'd take home one or other of these.
01:45There are the salt and pepper shakers, the coasters, there's the scented candle, the backpack, and the house of games dartboard.
01:52What do you fancy?
01:53I think the dartboard's dartboard.
01:55I've forgotten the dartboard there.
01:56Mike Bubbins.
01:57Sailing.
01:58Might you throw first.
01:59Game on.
02:00It would be the dartboard for me.
02:01Today dartboard, tomorrow glitterball trophy.
02:02Oh.
02:03Christine, what would you go for?
02:05I like the salt and pepper shaker.
02:07They're nice, actually.
02:08They've got a bit of heft to them as well.
02:10Yeah.
02:11Kirsten?
02:12Dartboard as well.
02:13Dartboard.
02:14A bit of dart.
02:15A lot of love for the dartboard here.

05:27Well done if you worked that out at home.
05:28Nicely done.
05:29Great round there for Mike Bubbins.
05:30Let's take a look at our first leaderboard.
05:34Christine and Kai.
05:35You have to get off the mark.
05:36Kirsten.
05:37You have got one.
05:38Mike Bubbins.
05:39Five points.
05:40All right.
05:42Nicely done.
05:43Let's go.
05:44Let's play a pairs game, shall we?
05:45Our pairs game today is going to be...
05:51All in the details.
05:53Christine, you're tied third.
05:54I'll ask you to choose a partner.
05:56Can I point something out for his many skills?
05:58Mike has yet to get a single point.
06:00I'm not a team player.
06:01I'm not a team player.
06:02Is that what it is?
06:04Well, I haven't been with Kai, so I go with Kai.
06:07That's nice.
06:08Christine and Kai are the team.
06:09So, Mike and Christine, if you'll swap places, please.
06:11OK.
06:14Can Mike get his first point in a pairs game?
06:16So, Mike and Kirsten, this is how we play this game.
06:19Before the show, you all filled in some clues.
06:22Hmm.
06:23You are now going to decipher the clues that your partners filled in,
06:26and they are all to do with geography.
06:29Oh.
06:30Oh.
06:31So, Kirsten, before the show, Mike filled in three clues,
06:33which hopefully should lead you to...
06:37An island group.
06:38Got up to three words to fill these in.
06:40Here's your first clue.
06:43They are part of the country of, according to Mike...
06:48Oh, no.
06:51Their largest island is called, according to Mike...
06:55I was struggling with this one, to be honest.
06:57Oh, really?
06:58Oh, God.
06:59And your last clue.
07:02In 1835, they were visited by, according to Mike...
07:07Charles Darwin.
07:08Oh.
07:09Charles Darwin.
07:10Can we get Mike his first pairs point of the week?
07:14Well, I've got Galapagos stuck in my head.
07:18You going to go Galapagos?
07:21Yes, I'll go.
07:22Mike, have you scored your first pairs point of the week?
07:24No way.
07:25God bless you.
07:26You have indeed well done the Galapagos Islands.
07:29What a shame.
07:30Very well done.
07:31They're part of Ecuador.
07:32The largest island is Isabella.
07:33And they absolutely were visited by Darwin.
07:35Well played, Mike.
07:36Thank you very much.
07:37Well played, Kirsten.
07:38That's the way to do it.
07:39Christine, before the show, Kai filled in three clues.
07:42And he looks pretty happy about it.
07:45And we're hoping they will lead you to the name of a city.
07:50OK.
07:51But which city is this?
07:54The what flows through it, according to Kai.
07:58River something.
07:59River something.
08:00River something.
08:01Narrowes it down.
08:02OK.
08:03City with a river.
08:05Your next clue is...
08:11Beer eats sausages.
08:13Sausages.
08:14OK.
08:15Bit closer.
08:16Yeah.
08:17And your final clue.
08:19A famous football club base there is, according to Kai,
08:22Cheeseburger FC.
08:25Am I allowed to say anything?
08:26That's a real team.
08:27Your work here is very much done.
08:29That's a real team?
08:30Cheeseburger.
08:31I don't think it is.
08:32I think Kai is trying to...
08:33That's not a real team?
08:34I think he's using his three words to give different sorts of clues.
08:38Oh, OK.
08:39So, Cheeseburger FC.
08:40So, I'm thinking it's a city in Germany.
08:42It feels like it, doesn't it?
08:44Yeah.
08:45Yeah.
08:46Oh, Hamburg.
08:47Is it Hamburg?
08:48Hamburg.
08:49It is Hamburg.
08:52Well done.
08:53You got there, Christy.
08:54Nicely played.
08:55Yeah, I played the same.
08:56The river Elba flows through it.
08:58There's the reaper barn where the Beatles used to play years ago.
09:01And the football club is Hamburg, São Paulo.
09:04Lots of football clubs in Hamburg.
09:07Very, very well worked out.
09:09Nicely done.
09:10Mike, before the show, Kirsten filled in some clues,
09:12which should lead you to a US state.
09:15Come on.
09:16A US state, but which US state is it going to be?
09:19Here's your first clue.
09:21From 1995 until 2000, the state governor was, according to Kirsten,
09:27not Arnold Schwarzenegger.
09:29There's a deal.
09:31Your next clue is...
09:33Its state capital overlooks the, according to Kirsten,
09:37massive Stetson statue.
09:40Again, this is very much the Kai Widrington way of giving clues.
09:43Yeah.
09:44Very nicely done.
09:45And your final one.
09:47It is commonly known as the, according to Kirsten,
09:51oil state.
09:53I think it's almost the lone star state.
09:55I think it's Texas.
09:56Could it possibly be Texas?
09:58Of course it's Texas.
09:59Very well done.
10:00APPLAUSE
10:02George W. Bush was the state governor,
10:05overlooks the Colorado River, Austin, the capital,
10:08and yet known as the lone star state.
10:10Absolutely right.
10:12Kai, before the show, Kirsten filled in some clues
10:15and we're hoping they will lead you to...
10:18A landmark.
10:20OK.
10:21Which landmark?
10:22Here's your first clue.
10:23Construction began in, according to Kirsten...
10:28Long time ago.
10:30Long time ago.
10:31Perfect team.
10:32That helps.
10:33Yeah, you are.
10:34I forgot I'd said that.
10:35Next one.
10:37It features in the film, according to Kirsten...
10:44And...
10:46It is often wrongly said to be, according to Kirsten...
10:51Seen from Space.
10:53Well, luckily, Mulan is one of my favourite films as a kid
10:56and I think I'm going to go with The Great Wall of China.
10:59The Great Wall of China is the right answer.
11:02Very well done.
11:03APPLAUSE
11:05Nicely played.
11:06Construction began 7th century BC, which...
11:09Wow.
11:10..is a long time ago.
11:12It does feature in Mulan.
11:14Great clue.
11:15And, yes, they wrongly say it can be seen from space.
11:18Well done.
11:19What a team.
11:20Very nicely played at the end of that round.
11:22So, Christine and Mike, if you will swap back places, please.
11:26Shall we see what that's done to the leaderboard?
11:28The truth is, absolutely nothing, because everyone's got everything
11:30right.
11:31But it just means everyone's got more points.
11:32Got something.
11:33Which is nice. Yeah.
11:34Here's how we look.
11:37Christine and Kai have two points each.
11:39Kirsten has three.
11:40Mike Bubbins, seven points.
11:41Well played, Mike.
11:42Well done.
11:43Three rounds to go.
11:44It's got a four-point lead, Monday's champion.
11:46Let's play our third round, which is...
11:52..Singonyms.
11:53I'm going to read you some lyrics from famous songs now.
11:55But we've changed the words.
11:56They mean the same, but the words are different.
11:58Buzz in when you know which song these lyrics are from.
12:01Yes, Mike.
12:14Red, red wine.
12:15Is it red, red wine?
12:19Wow.
12:20Yes, indeed.
12:22Please.
12:25Remain near to myself.
12:27Stay close to me.
12:28Don't allow I to be isolated.
12:30Don't let me be in love.
12:32Next one.
12:33Which song is this, please?
12:34I have faith in wonders.
12:37What is your hometown, you arousing item?
12:43Yes, Mike.
12:44Hot chocolate, I Believe in Miracles.
12:45Is it hot chocolate, I Believe in Miracles?
12:47Is not great.
12:49That was a good guess.
12:50I mean, you know the song.
12:55Kirsten.
12:56You Sexy Thing.
12:57You Sexy Thing is the answer.
13:00Yeah.
13:01Have a little listen.
13:03I Believe in Miracles.
13:05Which I've said.

13:18What is this song?
13:20Our group should rendezvous during Y2K.
13:23Isn't it peculiar that we will all be adults?
13:28Yes, Mike.
13:29Oh.
13:30That's pulp.
13:31Is it called Disco 2000?
13:33Is that right?

16:05You're loving mind games, aren't you?
16:06You're loving mind games.
16:08Mike, only because I think you respond to them.

16:35OK.
16:35So, your first category is this.
