00:00The Book of Psalms
00:01Psalm 27, A Psalm of David
00:06The Lord is my light and my salvation.
00:12Whom shall I fear?
00:14The Lord is the strength of my life.
00:17Of whom shall I be afraid?
00:20When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes,
00:23came upon me to eat up my flesh,
00:25they stumbled and fell.
00:27Though an host should encamp against me,
00:30my heart shall not fear.
00:32Though war should rise against me,
00:34in this will I be confident.
00:37One thing have I desired of the Lord
00:39that will I seek after,
00:41that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
00:42all the days of my life
00:44to behold the beauty of the Lord
00:46and to inquire in his temple.
00:49For in the time of trouble
00:50he shall hide me in his pavilion.
00:53In the secret of his tabernacle
00:54shall he hide me.
00:56He shall set me up upon a rock.
00:59And now shall mine head be lifted up
01:01above mine enemies round about me.
01:04Therefore will I offer in his tabernacle
01:06sacrifices of joy.
01:08I will sing, yea,
01:09I will sing praises unto the Lord.
01:12Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice.
01:15Have mercy also upon me and answer me.
01:17When thou saidst,
01:20Seek ye my face,
01:22my heart said unto thee,
01:24Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
01:27Hide not thy face far from me.
01:29Put not thy servant away in anger.
01:32Thou hast been my help.
01:33Leave me not,
01:34neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.
01:38When my father and my mother forsake me,
01:40then the Lord will take me up.
01:42Teach me thy way, O Lord,
01:45and lead me in a plain path
01:46because of mine enemies.
01:49Deliver me not over
01:49under the will of mine enemies.
01:52For false witnesses are risen up against me,
01:54and such as breathe out cruelty.
01:56I had fainted unless I had believed
01:58to see the goodness of the Lord
02:00in the land of the living.
02:02Wait on the Lord.
02:03Be of good courage,
02:04and he shall strengthen thine heart.
02:07Wait, I say, on the Lord.
02:09Be of good courage,
