00:00Hello, here we are at the 30 Under 30 Winners Party.
00:03Why do you think it's important then to support events such as this?
00:06We're an island community.
00:08We have a finite amount of resources and a finite number of people
00:11and to get the most out of them is the best for the island.
00:14It's been great to see the talent that the Isle of Man is producing.
00:17I'm a very proud manxman.
00:19I've grown up here and to see what the Isle of Man is producing
00:21is absolutely fantastic and we're delighted to be part of it.
00:24So Rob, you're a winner of the Leadership category.
00:27How does it feel to be a winner?
00:28That's great. It's just great to see young talent
00:31kind of getting shining a light on them kind of things.
00:33And the lovely Rachel got on Cheetah tonight.
00:35How does it feel to be a winner?
00:37Oh, it's amazing.
00:39Like Rob says, it was a privilege to even be nominated,
00:42so to win is lovely.
00:44Finally, but not least, we've got Becky.
00:46It's so amazing to be recognised for the hard work
00:49and you guys will be aware as well,
00:51being able to drive everything forward.
00:52It's nice to put a bit of success to your hard work
00:55that goes into everything.
00:56Why have you chosen to partner with 30 Under 30 this year?
01:01At Zurich, we're really passionate about talent
01:03and people development and really investing
01:05in that younger generation coming through.
01:07For us, innovation is something that's really core
01:09to our business, so partnering for the innovation category
01:13just made absolute sense.
01:14How are you feeling that you've won this award?
01:16It was really unexpected, but I am really happy
01:19and it just kind of solidifies that, you know,
01:21you're in the right direction.
01:22It's a kind of honour to be amongst so many great people.
01:26Yeah, pretty pleased.
01:27It's nice to be recognised, I guess, for some hard work.
01:30We found it an honour to actually get involved with this.
01:33When you actually look at all the rest of the people
01:35that are down the stairs, all the Under 30s,
01:37such a massive amount of talent.
01:40So how do you feel, Lottie, that you've won?
01:42It's super exciting.
01:43I've already met so many new people, which is great.
01:46I love, like, opportunities like this
01:47because it's pretty lonely sometimes
01:50when you work freelance
01:50and I've already met so many amazing people.
01:53So, yeah, it's been really fun.
01:54It feels pretty incredible, you know?
01:55It's a privilege to be here.
01:57It's good for young people on the Isle of Man
01:59to celebrate something like this
02:00and to make sure that they're being pushed out to the public
02:02and that people recognise who is doing well on the Isle of Man.
02:05So how are we feeling, girls, to be here tonight?
02:08Well, I'm excited to be here as a sponsor,
02:11but I don't think I'll be quite as excited as the girls that actually won.
02:13You know, they've done amazingly.
02:14Yeah, I work for Boston Multifamily Office
02:16and we're a business on the Isle of Man
02:18who's very people-focused.
02:20We really want to support an event like this.
02:21Young, up-and-rising stars are recognised for their achievements.
02:25Kennedy, how do you feel being a winner of 30 Under 30?
02:28Really humbled, to be honest.
02:30Like, the reason I've won is something I do,
02:32and I have done every day for the last, well, 16 years, pretty much.
02:37So it's really exciting and really nice to be recognised
02:40because of what I do.
02:41I feel really happy.
02:42Robin, coming on to you, how do you feel that you've won this award?
02:46I feel grateful and I feel surprised, to be honest with you,
02:49because for me it was just about creating space on this island
02:53for people to enjoy themselves,
02:55for young people to have a platform,
02:56to be able to showcase their music and their talents
02:59and just create a community
03:01because I think there's a lot of competition
03:03amongst young people on the island,
03:05so I think we switch that around
03:06and we just bring everybody together instead.
03:08So why do you think it's important then to sponsor an event such as this one?
03:12I think the Isle of Man has a really strong sense of a creative community.
03:15I think it's been really good for my upbringing anyway.
03:17That's why I'm with the Arts Council now.
03:20And I think it's amazing that we can sponsor things like this
03:22to give recognition to future generations of creatives.
03:25I love it.
03:25And then how do you feel then winning a 30 Under 30 award?
03:29Absolutely amazing, to be honest.
03:31It's a great honour
03:32and it's nice to be recognised for trying to make things better over here
03:38for creatives in general.
03:40Here we are with the sustainability partner, Biosphere.
03:44Biosphere is all about how can we do things better
03:46and it's about celebrating who we are as an island.
03:4930 Under 30 is about celebrating what young people are doing on the island.
03:52I think it's really important that we don't just celebrate people at the end of the career
03:56which is what we're used to doing
03:58and that we celebrate what people like this are doing
04:00which is like at the start of their career.
04:02How are you achieving?
04:03What are you doing that's making the island better
04:05and making our Biosphere better?
04:07Amazing.
04:08And moving on to our lovely winners.
04:10How do you feel, Rachel, that you've won?
04:13I'm so excited.
04:15Honestly, I'm always so inspired by the other 30 Under 30 winners
04:18like in the past couple of years
04:20and to now be one of them is just really overwhelming
04:23but also exciting.
04:25And then Greg, how do you feel being a winner?
04:26I think it's amazing.
04:27I didn't obviously expect this
04:29but I think it's such good recognition for young people
04:31I think especially in our field
04:34which isn't always seen as the coolest field
04:37people are finally coming round to it
04:38so yeah, I feel lucky to be here.
04:41I think it's really important for a company
04:43as big as Capital Support the Young Talent on the Isle of Man
04:45it's where you get all your new ideas from
04:47we've got a really great young talent pool on the Isle of Man
04:51we've got a graduate programme at the moment
04:53and we've seen so much come through
04:54the graduate fair as well
04:56with it at Geoff's 30 Under 30
04:58it just really is the pinnacle of the young talent on the Isle of Man.
05:01Going on to our winners
05:02Alex, how does it feel to be a winner?
05:04A bit overwhelming
05:05but grateful for the recognition.
05:07Proud to represent the island
05:08and yeah, just a really nice surprise.
05:10Incredibly proud
05:11no, it was really nice to be recognised.
05:13Why do you think it's important to partner up with Geoff the Mongoose
05:16for an event such as this one?
05:17At Robinson's collaboration is hugely important for us
05:20especially because we're a small island
05:22and as a business we collaborate with lots and lots of local businesses
05:25so for the 30 Under 30 this is really, really exciting
05:29to collaborate with Geoff the Mongoose.
05:31I love it
05:32I'm moving on to our fabulous winners
05:33so how do you feel, Cal, that you've won?
05:35A bit bewildered but good, I feel very good.
05:38How do you feel, Sam, that you're a winner?
05:40I didn't expect to win
05:41so it feels really good.
05:42How do you feel, Niamh, that you've won this year?
05:45Surprised, shocked, really touched
05:47it means a lot
05:48I think everyone would probably agree with me
05:50that just even getting nominated is really touching.
05:52Why do you think it's important then
05:54to partner up and be with Geoff the Mongoose for this event?
05:57We want to be the home for start-ups in Isle of Man.
06:00We believe empowering entrepreneurs
06:02will actually help the economy in Isle of Man
06:04to thrive and build scalable global businesses here.
06:08And then moving on to our winners, Callum,
06:10how does it feel to be a winner?
06:11Yeah, it's good, it's really exciting.
06:13Obviously there's a lot of people under 30
06:14and to be selected as one of the 30 Under 30s is good.
06:17You don't do it to get awards,
06:19you do it because you love doing it.
06:20To be recognised for what you do is really nice.
06:23And moving on to Josh, how does it feel?
06:25Absolutely brilliant.
06:26It was very unexpected,
06:27very proud to be a Manx local independent business owner
06:30here on the Isle of Man.
06:31I think what Geoff is doing is amazing.
06:33I'll just echo what the boys have already said.
06:35It was a nice surprise.
06:37Like Callum said, you don't do it for sort of recognition.
06:39It's about the people you work with in your business.
06:42That's what it's about.
06:43So yeah, it's cool meeting like-minded people.
06:45Why have you chosen to partner up this year?
06:48I think it's just incredible to support
06:50the younger people in the community
06:52and just see everyone inspire others within the Isle of Man.
06:55I think it's just great for us to support that.
06:57And we have our lovely winners,
06:59Blai and Anna.
07:00It feels amazing to be a winner.
07:01The category that we've been chosen for as well
07:03is quite an important one I think
07:05because especially on the Isle of Man
07:06we're a part of a community.
07:07It's nice to be recognised.
07:09It's a really rewarding job that Anna will know much about.
07:12I get to see people grow
07:13and it's not usually something that we get recognised for
07:16so it is good to finally see people like Anna and myself
07:19being recognised for the hard work that goes in behind the scenes.
07:23Yeah.
