Russia and Ukraine have carried out a prisoner of war exchange involving Prisoner of Wars (POWs) under the age of 25, Russia's Defence Ministry said on Monday (June 9), that the swap was the result of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine earlier this month.

00:34Kremlin said over the weekend that a first list of 640 prisoner of wars had been submitted to Ukraine.
00:42Today the swap was started, the first step of the agreement in Istanbul.

00:54The Russian military said its returned prisoner of wars were now in Belarus for medical and psychological care before being transferred to Russia.
