00:00Yasmin joined the flotilla because she's never been able to look away from injustice.
00:07Not when she was 15 and not now.
00:10And that's just who she is.
00:12She knows people in Gaza are starving, that they're cut off from basic aid.
00:17She went not for herself, but because she felt she had to do something.
00:22It breaks my heart.
00:23My sister is risking her life because governments didn't step up.
00:30And at the same time, I'm deeply, I'm very deeply proud of her.
00:34She has the courage they don't, the courage to act, to show up, to care.
00:42It shouldn't be on her shoulders.
00:44The fact that ordinary people like Yasmin are forced to do what entire governments won't.
00:52And that's painful.
00:52So the problem is here that, yes, Israel has been committing crimes and stop a ship that carries humanitarian aid in international waters and treat them like criminals.
01:08These people are not criminals.
01:11These people are there to help.
01:12These people are there to open a sea corridor, to break the siege, to help starving people.
01:23We cannot look away.
01:24I'm asking the German government to protect her fully and without delay.
01:31Yasmin is a German citizen.
01:32She deserves safety and she deserves to come home.
01:37I want them to make sure she's released immediately and that no harm comes to her.
01:42Not just phone calls, not just statements, presence, action.
01:49I haven't been able to speak to a single person who will take responsibility.
01:55And that's not acceptable.
01:56This is urgent and I need them to act like it is.
02:02I'm just scared for her.
02:03I'm really scared for her because apparently we can't trust our governments to do what they're supposed to do.
