00:00well now come close and get comfy my sweet darlings snuggle in with your blankets and i'll tell you the most magical story one filled with twinkling lights a hidden garden and the tiniest fairy you've ever imagined
00:14you see once upon a time in a village where sunflowers swayed taller than the rooftops and butterflies danced like petals on the breeze there lived a curious little girl named lily lily wasn't like other children oh no she had the brightest eyes like dewdrops catching morning sunlight and a heart full of dreams
00:34she loved exploring the woods behind her cottage talking to the animals and pretending she was a forest princess but more than anything lily believed in magic and my goodness was she about to find it one fine morning when the sky was the color of cornflowers and the air smelled like warm honey lily skipped out the back door her basket swinging on her arm her mama had asked her to pick blueberries but you know how children are one minute
01:03they're on task and the next they're chasing shadows lily wandered deep into the woods humming softly to herself birds chirped like they were singing along she passed the bubbling brook where the frogs croaked hello then tiptoed past old mr badger's burrow but suddenly just past the big oak tree with the mossy roots she saw something odd a stone wall covered in ivy twisting and curling like green ribbon candy
01:29but what caught her attention most was that there was no gate not a door not even a crack to peek through well that's strange lily whispered brushing her fingers against the stones where does it go
01:43she circled the wall once twice then a third time still no entrance but just as she was about to turn away flutter something sparkled in the air it was small
01:54so small you might miss it if you blinked a twinkling silver light dancing just above the wall lily's eyes grew wide hello she called gently the light shimmered then zipped down and landed on a leaf and there sitting cross-legged on the soft green bed was the tiniest girl lily had ever seen
02:12no taller than your thumb she wore a dress made of flower petals and had wings like a dragonfly's glassy and glowing in the sunlight
02:21oh lily gasped are you a are you a fairy the little creature gave a giggle like the tinkling of wind chimes
02:29i suppose i am my name's thistle and you must be lily how did you know my name thistle winked we fairies know many things now what brings you to the edge of our secret garden
02:40lily's heart thumped i didn't even know there was a garden
02:44well now you do thistle leaned closer would you like to see it before lily could answer thistle flew up and waved her hand
02:52the ivy on the wall wriggled yes it wiggled like sleepy snakes waking from a nap
02:58slowly they parted forming a little arch just tall enough for a child lily stepped through with a breath of wonder
03:06inside was a garden unlike anything she'd ever seen there were flowers in colors she didn't know existed
03:11blue as moonlight gold as laughter the grass was soft and glowed faintly like it held its own light
03:19trees had blossoms shaped like bells that rang when the wind passed and floating gently from the branches
03:27were tiny lanterns lit without flame fairies hundreds of them fluttered about like living stars
03:33some tended to plants with dewdrop watering cans others played music with instruments made of spider
03:39silk and walnut shells lily stood with her mouth open it's beautiful thistle twirled in the air
03:45welcome to the garden of whim for days oh such wonderful days lily returned to the garden each time
03:55the ivy would part for her and thistle would greet her with a giggle and a swirl of sparkle dust
04:00she met fairies named bramble and dandelion and even a grumpy one called snip who was in charge of mushroom houses the fairies taught lily how to hum the songs that made the flowers bloom and how to braid
