00:00Hey Mubarak everyone! Today I want to share the beautiful story behind Eid-ul-Ajah, the festival of sacrifice.
00:07This isn't just a holiday, it's a celebration that goes back thousands of years, all the way to the time of Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him.
00:15So what's the story? Well, Ibrahim had a dream, one that asked him to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail for the sake of Allah.
00:24Imagine the strength and trust in Allah it took to even consider that.
00:27But as Ibrahim prepared to follow this command, Allah replaced Ismail with a ram at the very last moment.
00:35This was a test of faith and obedience and both father and son passed with flying colors.
00:40That's why, every year during Eid-ul-Ajah, Muslims around the world remember this powerful moment by sacrificing an animal, usually a sheep, goat, or cow.
00:50The meat is then shared, one third goes to family, one third to friends and neighbors, and one third to those in need.
00:56It's a reminder to be generous, grateful, and always ready to help others.
01:01But Eid is about more than just sacrifice.
01:04It's about coming together, forgiving, and spreading joy.
01:08Whether you're dressing up in your finest clothes, cooking up a feast, or visiting relatives, it's the love and connection that really matter.
01:15So as you celebrate with your loved ones, remember the true meaning behind Eid-ul-Ajah.
01:21And let's make sure no one is left out of the festivities.
01:24From my heart to yours, Eid Mubarak, may your homes be filled with happiness, faith, and endless blessings.
