00:40Astana International Forum gathered world leaders,
00:43international organizations, experts, and companies
00:46to discuss economic instability, security issues,
00:49climate change, trade wars, and technological advancements.
00:52Es ist meine große Freude zu willkommenen
00:56alle zu Astana International Forum.
01:00At the event's plenary session,
01:04Heads of States and high-ranking officials
01:06expressed worry over profound global uncertainty
01:09and growing conflicts.
01:10Last year, armed conflicts were recorded in 52 states,
01:13while the violence's economic toll came to 19 trillion dollars,
01:17or around 13.5% of global GDP.
01:21Yet beyond the numbers lies a more troubling reality.
01:25Modern conflicts are increasingly protracted and complex.
01:31They often involve a multitude of actors,
01:34including non-state groups,
01:37and are fueled by deep-seated grievances.
01:41These factors make lasting peace far more difficult to achieve.
01:46Global leaders said conflicts from old grudges must be solved at the source.
01:50While dialogue remains an important part of politics,
01:53talk without action will not produce results.
01:56We are living in deep crisis.
01:58That is obvious fact.
02:00United Nations are still enjoying legitimacy.
02:05And in my opinion, they are the only place where we could solve a lot of different problems.
02:13Because then we could unite ourselves, how?
02:17With principles and values that are often forgotten.
02:23The presidents agree that to tackle today's challenges
02:26the 80-year-old United Nations structure needs an update.
02:29The system established after World War II is faltering,
02:32and nations are building relations in new, unprecedented ways.
02:35Amid these shifting dynamics,
02:37Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni noted that Central Asia
02:41has consistently played the role of a mediator and a bridge.
02:44This region has always been a crossroads between the West and the East,
02:49and occupies a strategic role in the global scenario.
02:53Moreover, in difficult times, as those we are in.
02:59Central Asia has always been a bridge.
03:02The transformations and changes this part of the planet has undergone over the centuries
03:08have made it what it is today.
03:11The hinge between two continents,
03:13the point of contact between Europe and Asia,
03:17the junction between worlds that once were very distant
03:22but now are more interconnected than ever.
03:25Meloni made an appearance on the second day of the Forum
03:28on her way to the first Italy-Central Asia Summit,
03:31which also took place in Astana.
03:32Highlighting the long-standing ties between the two countries,
03:35she pointed to the growing importance of critical infrastructure
03:38like the Middle Corridor,
03:39whose strategic role is evolving amid rising geopolitical tensions.
03:42The Middle Corridor, as we say,
03:46and it has already grown from an alternative route,
03:51which we used initially,
03:54to a large economic network of cooperation between the West and the West,
04:01and we are in the middle.
04:03Experts also talked about the need for cleaner energy
04:06and reaching carbon neutrality,
04:08especially with growing concerns about climate change.
04:11Central Asia is suffering from acute climate crisis.
04:14The temperatures in the region rise twice as fast as the rest of the world,
04:17threatening water security, food security, public health and economic stability.
04:22The Forum's panels address the importance of climate action
04:25and accessibility of climate financing.
04:27Unfortunately, our region, Central Asia,
04:30has attracted less than 1% of global climate finance,
04:34whereas we have huge potential to contribute to global climate action
04:38and reduction of carbon emissions,
04:40but also this is one of the most vulnerable regions to the effects of climate change.
04:45Experts say climate problems don't stand alone.
04:48They make other issues worse.
04:50To tackle this, the nation is getting ready to host the Regional Climate Summit in 2026.
04:56the National Bitcoin do Tournamentус.
04:59The Federal Climate Summit about the prior questions of things
05:02about the two highlights in terms of climate lucid and novel governance,
05:04and the current該
