00:00Yeah, well, it's obviously a special moment for all our RCB fans in particular, but also for
00:12us in the dressing room. It's been quite a campaign, and you know how much hard work and
00:21sweat and tears and thought goes into trying to win an IPL. There are 10 great teams going
00:28hard at it, so it feels incredibly rewarding to come out on top, and also particularly I
00:37think to do something that hasn't been done before, so RCB hasn't done it before. So I
00:42think it's a particularly special feeling that. Virat in his 18th year of competing in
00:52the IPL. I think that also makes it really special for everyone involved, and I'm really
01:00happy for him and really proud of the way that he's driven the side forward. So really special
01:08moments. We feel really privileged to be part of a top-class competition like this, and also
01:17very privileged to be associated with RCB. It's an amazing franchise, and I think we've
01:26had some amazing leadership from above. Particularly, you know, not just focusing on this season, but
01:32last season when we were under the pump halfway through it. And the leadership stuck with us,
01:41stayed calm, and we've managed to come through and give something back to our fans this time.

01:51Coach, the combination of you, Mo and the nation in particular, the nation in particular, can you take us through that?
02:00Yeah, sure. You know, Mo Bobad is a very impressive man. I've worked with him a little bit with the
02:07England Cricket Board when we both worked for England. And for such a young man to have such
02:16insight and knowledge and drive, he's incredibly impressive. And I think his leadership over the
02:25last couple of years has, it's been really impressive to be close to him while he's been leading like he does.
02:35He's got a great brain, he's a good strategist, and he's a good man. So I've got tons of respect for him.
02:43I think some of our assistant coaches, you know, you mentioned DK. So DK, Marlowe, Richard Halsall,
02:54and Omkar Salvi, they've been outstanding. And I think, you know, having that Indian insight and
03:04knowledge in our coaching staff has been really important for this campaign this year.
03:10Um, and DK particularly, I think, you know, as mentor and batting specialist, he's, uh, he's been
03:18brilliant. I've, I've loved, loved working with him. He's got great energy. Uh, he's got a smile on his
03:23face most of the time. Um, and, uh, and I think he's, he's really enjoyed, uh, his, uh, his job. He, uh, this year,
03:34I think, uh, you know, it's quite a transition to make from playing to coaching and he's done it amazingly
03:39well. And I think he's, it's very obvious that he's had an impact, um, certainly on the batting
03:45group, but I think on the, uh, he certainly had an impact within the, uh, within the, uh, leadership of
03:51the, um, the management, uh, group and, uh, and the coaching group, um, and with the wider team.
04:00Uh, so he's a really impressive guy, a brilliant guy to spend some time with. And, um, I've loved
04:05every minute of it.

04:07Yes.
04:08Hi. I mean, over the years, we have seen RCB banking on star battles. Banning one season
04:12of original star was there. So, this take around, there's a, I mean, there's a, he said,
04:18that goes by, right? And exactly what happened this time around. So, if you could talk about
04:24about this, uh, thought process, right, from the auction table, how, I mean, Joss has an
04:29idea. Yeah. As I said, like the auction is a, is a huge first step that you've got to
04:44try and get as right as possible. And part of Moe's philosophy, um, right up front was
04:52to distribute the value a little, uh, more equitably, um, rather than, uh, um,
04:59you know, spending too much on big name batsmen, who are, of course, very fine players, but,
05:06uh, the importance of a good bowling attack was acknowledged absolutely, um, uh, adamantly
05:14right at the start, before the auction. And we worked towards that. And I know our first,
05:19the, the first day of the auction, um, we were copying a little bit of flack, I think. Um,
05:25and people thought that we were investing our money rather than spending it. Um, but, uh, it
05:30meant that there was some really good value, um, to be had on the second day. And we had the money
05:37to then spend on that value. And we got guys like Boovy, uh, uh, Crunel, uh, Tim David,
05:44Romario Shepard, all on that second day. So, that was really important. Um, I think, uh,
05:51uh, yeah, Sawyer Sharma's done really well for us. You know, our, our little leg spinner.
05:56I thought he's handled himself really well through the season and, and come on. Um, but,
06:01you know, Crunel is a big match player and, uh, great competitor. And, uh, you know, that spell
06:07today, I think was the major difference between the teams.
06:10Yeah, we have room for one last question. Yes.
06:13And then, uh, by the day with the auction team, you went for the Wackertesha
06:18here after 2.3 close. After that, actually, you got, uh, the three central players,
06:23the three solid, uh, Hazelwood and Aditya Sharma. You think that was a lucky loss for you,
06:29uh, Wackertesha. And secondly, how big was the, uh, the three solid catch in the final?
06:36Yeah. I mean, that was an outstanding catch, wasn't it? Um, I thought it was a perfect example
06:46of someone holding his nerve under pressure. You know, that took, it took a while to get
06:50to him. He knew that he was moving towards the boundary and to stay that calm under that
06:56sort of pressure in a final to get our first wicket was, uh, was an amazing piece of, uh,
07:02fielding from him and also just holding his nerve. So, uh, you know, he only got back
07:08from England at three o'clock this morning. Um, so, and he, he's been an outstanding,
07:14uh, batter and fielder for us throughout the season. So, him taking, he, he's taken a couple
07:21of catches like that through the season. He works really hard at it. Um, I think he'd actually
07:25prefer to keep wicket. Um, but, but he was, uh, he was outstanding. Um, and a turning point,
07:32obviously. Uh, on your first question, you know, we, we really rated, uh, Venki and that's
07:39why we went so hard for him. And, uh, we, we, I think a big part of going so hard for him
07:46was because we valued having a strong Indian core to our team. And we wanted some, we wanted
07:55some exciting young, uh, cricketers and we also needed a left-hander in the top order.
08:01So, uh, we went to him, we didn't get him. Um, I would like to think that if he came and
08:07played for us, he would have had a really great season. So, um, so I, um, I, I wouldn't agree
08:15with your first, uh, with your first point, but, uh, you know, I, I think he's a really
08:20good young player, uh, a really good young character, uh, and I, I do wish him well,
08:26um, uh, as we, as he, as he has, uh, uh, the end of, uh, the end of this year.
08:32As he goes into... One last question. Yes, please.
08:34Uh, I mean, when you spoke about the leadership at, at, um, backroom staff,
08:38could you just talk about the understated leadership of, uh,
08:42Yes, I told one of you, but I'm very understated about, you know, my...
08:46Yeah, he, he really did. I think one of the most impressive things
08:49about what Rajat's done this year is, um, as a, as an inexperienced captain,
08:55he, it has, he hasn't been affected by it. I, I don't actually think it's affected his batting,
09:02um, because I've watched him really closely as a character and, uh, he is still the lovely, gentle,
09:11uh, polite, um, Rajat Patida that we, that we knew last year.
09:17He hasn't changed at all in that regard. Um, I think captaining RCB is, uh, is a really tricky job.
09:26And, um, you know, if I cast my mind back to how I, how poorly I captained when I, when I was his age,
09:33I've got tremendous respect for how he's held himself with all that scrutiny, uh, and captaining some big players.
09:40Um, you can't underestimate, um, the, the, um, the calmness that he showed, uh, in leading some really big players,
09:52leading a really big franchise, taking on, uh, you know, making good decisions, uh, out there in the middle
10:00under the pressure that, uh, RCB players play under. Uh, so I've got tons of respect for him.
10:06I'm really proud of the way that he's carried himself. And he's been, he's obviously been crucial to us doing well.
