00:00He urged both leaders to sit down and talk directly with one another.
00:03He's working hard to solve this conflict, and that's where his mind is right now on it.
00:06The president's thinking on the Russia-Ukraine war as it stands,
00:10I've spoke to him about it just this morning,
00:12is he remains positive at the progress that we've seen.
00:15Again, he urged both leaders to sit down and talk directly with one another,
00:19and they did that.
00:20Russia handed over a memorandum of peace or a peace plan
00:24or a suggestion of one, I understand, to the Ukrainian side.
00:26They also agreed upon the exchange of prisoners or hostages from each other's countries.
00:31So he remains positive about the progress that we're seeing,
00:34but he also is a realist,
00:36and he realizes these are two countries that are at war and have been for a long time
00:40because of his predecessor's weakness and incompetence.
00:43So he's working hard to solve this conflict,
00:45and that's where his mind is right now on it.
00:47Jonathan, go ahead.
00:48Same topic, just to put a finer point on it.
00:51Does President Trump approve of Ukraine's decision to strike nuclear-capable bombers in Russia?
00:58I would like to let the President speak on that himself.
01:00And just to follow up, has the President...
01:03I would just add to that.
01:04The President does not want to see this war prolonged.
01:07He wants the fighting to stop.
01:08He wants people to stop dying,
01:09and he wants this to be solved at the negotiating table.
01:12The reason he is so deeply involved
01:16and has spent so much time and effort on this war
01:18is because he hates to see people dying.
01:21Again, these are not Americans that are being killed.
01:22These are Russians and these are Ukrainians.
01:24This is a war very far away.
01:25But this President truly cares about peace,
01:28and that's what he wants to see.
01:30What is President Trump doing to ensure
01:32that a similar internal drone attack doesn't happen here in the U.S.,
01:38given this was done at pretty low cost, very stealthily?
01:42You know, it obviously raises questions about our own security,
01:45particularly for U.S. aircraft here.
01:47It absolutely does.
01:48And that's why the President nominated Secretary Hegseth
01:51and has approved some of the changes that have been made at the Pentagon
01:55to ensure that we have the most lethal fighting force in the world
01:58and that the United States military is the best, the biggest.
02:02That's why he wants the One Big Beautiful Bill to be passed,
02:04because it increases our defense spending.
02:06It's why he also launched the announcement of the Golden Dome
02:09to prevent from missile strikes and attacks in the future.
02:12And the President has a full understanding, I can tell you,
02:14because I've spoken to him about it,
02:16about the future of warfare and how drones are a big part of that.
02:19And I will not get ahead of our policy team,
02:21but I think you can expect to see some executive action on that front
02:24in the very near future.
