Gauff credits fighting mentality for incredible Roland Garros form

Coco Gauff believes her improved mentality is what may give her an edge in the late rounds of the French Open.

00:00I think just honestly fighting for each match and each point

00:04because you know I've learned in the last two tournaments

00:07especially in Roma Madrid losing the opening set

00:10in the first round of both of those tournaments

00:12and making the final

00:13it just shows that you got to keep fighting for every match

00:15and keep fighting for every point

00:17because anything can happen in a tournament

00:19so I think if I want to be more consistent on tour

00:23I think that's something I have to continue to do

00:26I think I'm more less nervous going into matches for sure

00:29and knowing just the ups and downs of tennis

00:33and of a tennis match

00:35I still feel like the years here

00:38I feel like I get better with each match

00:40and I felt like that was something that I did in 22

00:43and last year as well

00:45and something I'm doing here right now

00:47so yeah I think if I can keep

00:49just making those details a little bit better

00:52hopefully I can do even better

00:54than I did last year
