উত্তর সিকিমে ধসে মৃত্যু হল তিন জওয়ানের ৷ তবে বৃষ্টি থামার পর আটকে থাকা পর্যটকদের ফিরিয়ে আনতে শুরু হয়েছে উদ্ধারকাজ ৷

00:00The tourists who were stranded in Lachung, they have been rescued and we started in the

00:22morning around 8 o'clock from Lachung and approximately the tourist count is 1600 including 750 male

00:33and 560 approximately female and children are 380. There are around 285 vehicles and 16 bikes and they

00:41were stranded since 30 because due to the everybody knows that in 29th evening there was a very huge

00:48flow of water. It was due to the flash flood or maybe the cloud burst. So there were multiple

00:56landslides across Lachung to Fidang. So around 8 to 10 landslides were there and we were trying

01:03to clear it all. So last night, evening only it got cleared and today morning we started

01:09to go to Lachung. Lachung is presently a cut off from Gemma side and Rabang side but Lachung

01:26in Lachung, all tourists are safe because we had a communication with the police. So tourists

01:31are safe and they are at their respective hotels only and there are approximately 150 around

01:36tourists who are there. And NDRF is also there. So we are exploring the possibility of transshipment

01:44also. So we can do a transshipment through the Munshikhang route and then maybe we can

01:49take vehicle and cross it then towards Fidang. So what's the update about the tourists who met

01:55in an accident and the sort of operation was going on. What is the update about that? So the accident

01:59happened I think in 29th night since then I was there only in Chungthang. On 29th night

02:05after we received the communication, the team from police ITVP Army, they all reached the spot

02:11approximately 11 o'clock and two people were rescued at that time. They were from Odisha and they

02:18were sent to hospital for further treatment. And nine people including eight tourists and one

02:25they are still missing. And rescue operation is going on since last two days there was very

02:31heavy rain and the amount of water you can see it rises to around 10 feet more than 10 feet

02:38on the same Kholla. So right now vehicle is not been recovered but search and rescue is going on.
