00:00Tom Wilkinson, Sergeant with the Neighbor Police Team over at Barracliffe Estate in Scarborough.
00:05We're back here with some more clear activity as part of the Clear Hole Build project that we've got running in Scarborough.
00:13This morning has seen some more enforcement action on the estate with a handful of arrests
00:18for suspected to be involved in the onward supply of Class A drugs,
00:22as well as offenses involving suspected exploitation of children used to run the drugs.
00:27The investigation is in its infancy with further questions to be made, but the message needs to be clear.
00:34Drugs and the trafficking of drugs on this estate are anywhere in Scarborough is not tolerated,
00:39especially when it involves using children to run drugs around.
00:43The enforcement action has come directly as a result of information fed in from the community,
00:49professionals and partners.
00:50The Neighbor Policing Team has worked hand-in-hand with the exploitation team of North Yorkshire Police,
00:55as well as key partners, including Children's Family Services,
00:58to be able to identify and disrupt organized crimes such as this.
01:02The request from me and my team, keep information coming to us.
01:06We will review, we will take action where we possibly can,
01:09and the effort will continue to leave Barracliffe a safer place.
01:13And I'll be there with Barracliffe a safer way to get lost.
