The long-awaited sequel to the 2019 sci-fi epic is in the works, with director Robert Rodriguez and producer James Cameron set to bring back the world of Iron City and the fierce cyborg warrior, Alita. Titled Alita: Fallen Angel, the sequel promises to dive deeper into the dystopian universe of the first film, while delivering the high-octane action and emotional depth that made Alita a fan favorite.

Alita: Fallen Angel will pick up where the original left off, with Rosa Salazar reprising her role as Alita, the amnesiac cyborg who discovered her extraordinary combat abilities and her mysterious past as a warrior from the lost city of Zalem. The sequel will follow Alita’s journey as she ascends from the chaotic streets of Iron City to the fabled Zalem itself, seeking answers about her past and vengeance against the shadowy forces that control the floating metropolis.
