00:30Alhamdulillah, once again, we are on the blessed day of Yawm Al-Jum'ah, which is Sayyid Al-Ayam, which is the master of all of the days.
00:57And we begin by sending infinite and countless salutations upon our master and our beloved prophet, Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
01:10We begin by sending countless and infinite salutations upon our final prophet, our master, Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
01:19And as we know, Alhamdulillah, we are on the blessed ayam, the blessed days of Hajj.
01:28And Hajj is a great pillar of Islam, one of the five pillars of Islam.
01:35Then when we look at the five pillars of Islam, these are the foundational aspects whereby Islam is based on these fundamental aspects.
01:47And one of these aspects is Hajj, the pilgrimage.
01:52And whoever is able to, whoever has the istita'ah, then he must perform the Hajj at least once in his life.
02:00This is far to him.
02:01Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,
02:05There is no other reward for an accepted Hajj other than Paradise.
02:14Someone who has a Hajj Mabroor meaning a Hajj which is accepted, his reward is Paradise.
02:21And even through the pilgrimage of Hajj itself, the journey of Hajj itself,
02:29there are many rewards and many virtuous actions that someone can do during this process.
02:37For example, during the Hajj, a person performs Tawaf, and Tawaf itself is a virtuous action.
02:45A person, he gets the opportunity to kiss the Hajj al-Aswad, which is the black stone.
02:51When it originally came, it was known as Hajj al-Abyad.
02:55The white stone, which is originally from Jannah.
03:00And whoever kisses Hajj al-Aswad, inshaAllah Allah Almighty, will forgive all of his previous sins.
03:08So one of the virtues of the Hajj al-Abyad, the white stone,
03:14originally Hajj al-Abyad, that this is a stone that came from Paradise, came from Jannah.
03:19Then over the years, it took in the sins of the people.
03:23It absorbed the sins of the people, which is one reason why it became black.
03:29It became known as Hajj al-Aswad.
03:33And then also, a person, when he performs the Hajj, he drinks the Zamzam water.
03:39And Zamzam, whoever drinks Zamzam and makes du'a afterwards, his du'a will be accepted.
03:47And also, Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ said,
03:50That the difference between us and the Munafiqeen is that we drink the Zamzam to the full stomach.
04:00The Munafiqeen, they do not drink the Zamzam to a full stomach.
04:05Rather, they only drink a little bit.
04:07But the true Muslims, the Mu'mineen, the true Muslims, they drink Zamzam to a full stomach.
04:13So this is one of the differences.
04:15And there are many, many virtues of the action of Hajj itself.
04:19Many blessings.
04:21So my dear Islamic brothers, these are very, very blessed days.
04:25The Ayam al-Hajj.
04:26So we should make the most out of these days.
04:28We shouldn't allow ourselves to let these blessed, blessed days go by without trying to perform good deeds.
04:38So this Ayam al-Hajj, this reminds us of our duties to Allah-u-Mati.
04:46Being ibad, being slaves to Allah-u-Mati.
04:50And this reminds us of how we should engage ourselves in worshipping Allah-u-Mati.
04:58That we should completely sacrifice everything for His sake.
05:01We should put everything else to another side which doesn't concern us, which is less important to us.
05:09And we should focus on worshipping Allah-u-Mati.
05:13This is very, very important.
05:15And these days of Hajj, they remind us.
05:17And another thing is that when these, when the days of Eid, the days of Hajj, when they come,
05:26they also bring about an event which is known as Eid.
05:31And Eid is a day of happiness, a day of celebration.
05:33Hatta Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ said that every Juma'a, every Friday, this is an Eid for the Mu'mineen.
05:41That every Juma'a, the day of Juma'a, the day of Friday, this is a day of Eid for the Muslims, for the Mu'mineen.
05:48So as the day of Friday comes, we should also celebrate this as a day of Eid.
05:56And then when the days of Hajj are completed, after the days of Hajj, we have Eid al-Adha, which is the Eid of Sacrifice.
06:03That we sacrifice animals, and we present it for the sake of Allah ﷺ.
06:14So inshallah, we'll learn some points about Eid, inshallah.
06:18So regarding Eid, Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ said,
06:28In a summary, anyone who did Qiyam, i.e. performed Washid, whoever washed Allah T.W.T.
06:33at the night of Eid, meaning Eid al-Fitr, the Eid which is after Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha,
06:40in order to answer, his heart will not die on the day when the hearts of people will die.
06:46On the day when people die, on the day when people die, then their hearts die.
06:55A person's heart will not die on that day, if he worships Allah T.W.T. on the night of Eid.
07:04Also Sayyidina Mu'az Ibn Jaber ﷺ, he says,
07:09The one spending the five nights worshipping Allah Azza wa Jal will surely enter heaven.
07:13The five nights of the 8th, 9th and 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, there's three nights.
07:208th, 9th and 10th, whoever worships Allah on these nights,
07:24and the night of Eid al-Fitr, and the 15th night of Sha'ban, which we call Shab-e-Birat.
07:30So whoever worships Allah T.W.T. on these nights,
07:33his heart will not die on the day, on the night that people's hearts die.
07:39The time when people's hearts die, his heart will not die.
07:43Sayyidina Burayda رضي الله تعالى عنه,
07:48he says,
07:49On the day of Eid al-Fitr, our Holy Prophet ﷺ,
07:53would go to offer the Eid salah while eating something.
07:56So when Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ would go to the Eid salah,
08:03he would eat something.
08:07But on Eid al-Adha, he would not eat anything unless he had offered the Eid salah.
08:12So for Eid al-Adha, meaning the Eid that is coming up,
08:16it's sunnah, it is better to eat when you come back, inshaAllah.
08:20After you pray your salah, you should eat something afterwards.
08:26This also mentioned in Sayyid Bukhari,
08:28that Sayyidina Amas ﷺ says,
08:31On the day of Eid al-Fitr,
08:33the beloved and blessed Prophet ﷺ would not go until he would eat dates in a few odd numbers.
08:39This is for Eid al-Fitr.
08:41That Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ would go for the Eid prayer
08:45in such a state where he would eat the date in a few odd numbers.
08:50Also, another sunnah when going to Eid salah.
08:59He is narrated by Sayyidina Abu Hurair radiya Allah ta'ala anhu,
09:02that the Holy Prophet ﷺ said that Sayyidina Rasulullah ﷺ
09:09would go to offer Eid salah from one path,
09:12he would return from another path.
09:14Okay, this is very important.
09:15And this is a sunnah that we should all try to adopt
09:18and try to improve it, try to implement it to our lives.
09:22That when we go from Eid salah,
09:25that we should go from one path.
09:27But when we return back from Eid salah,
09:30then we should take another path.
09:31Okay, everyone should try to remember that.
09:34Going to Eid salah on one path,
09:37that when we return back from the Eid prayer back home,
09:40we should take another path.
09:42This is the way of Sayyid Rasulullah ﷺ.
09:47So, who is Eid wajib for?
09:49Wajib is a darjah, is a reik,
09:52which is a bit less than fard in the Hanafi school of food.
09:56And we have fard, which is something which is proven,
09:59with clear evidence from the Quran and hadith.
10:04Something, this is established as fard.
10:06Then we have something which is dhanni,
10:08which is the ulama,
10:10they categorize as wajib.
10:13Okay.
10:14So, in the Hanafi school of food,
10:17Eid salah is wajib.
10:18If someone deliberately misses the Eid salah,
10:21without any reason,
10:23it will be a sin for him.
10:25So, the salah of both Eids,
10:26meaning Eid al-Fitr,
10:28and Eid al-Adha,
10:29is wajib.
10:30Okay.
10:31So, if someone misses this without any valid reason,
10:33it will be sinful.
10:36But it is wajib for those people,
10:40who Jum'ah salah is also wajib upon.
10:42This is a Shari'i point to remember.
10:46That whoever Jum'ah is wajib upon,
10:48Eid salah is also wajib upon him.
10:51Okay.
10:54So, this is very, very important.
10:58Some points of Eid salah that we've learned.
11:00And also,
11:01we should try to recite the Takbir al-Tashriq loudly.
11:04Okay.
11:05Going to this salah,
11:06we should read the Takbir al-Tashriq,
11:08which is,
11:08Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,
11:10La ilaha illallah,
11:11Wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar,
11:12Wallillah alhamd.
11:13We should try to be reciting this
11:15as much as we can,
11:17on the way
11:17to the Eid salah,
11:20and returning back.
11:21Okay.
11:21And you should be reading so loudly
11:23that at least
11:23your ears can hear you.
11:25Okay.
11:26Whenever you read anything,
11:27whenever anything is recited,
11:29then the
11:31Hukum in Sharia
11:33is that
11:34a person should recite so loudly
11:36that at least
11:38his own ears can hear him.
11:39If a person,
11:41he isn't reciting so loudly
11:42that his own ears can't hear him,
11:44then this will not be deemed,
11:46this will not be classified
11:47as recital.
11:49Okay.
11:49Recital is only deemed
11:51when a person
11:53who recites so loudly
11:54that his ears
11:55are naturally able
11:57to hear himself.
11:58But if there's any other obstacle,
12:00if there's a loud sound outside,
12:01if there's some,
12:02you know,
12:03noise,
12:04then that is different.
12:04He doesn't have to hear himself.
12:06But if that noise wasn't there,
12:07then he should be able
12:08to hear himself.
12:09Not true.
12:10Okay.
12:12So,
12:12so,
12:16the
12:16rulings of Sharia
12:19are there for us to abide to.
12:21And it is necessary
12:22that all of us learn
12:23the rulings of Sharia.
12:26Sayyidina Rasulullah
12:26sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
12:28told us,
12:28whoever Allahumati
12:35intends goodness for,
12:37Allahumati
12:37distoves him
12:38with the knowledge of dinn.
12:39Also,
12:39Sayyidina Rasulullah
12:40sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
12:41says,
12:42in the summary,
12:44طلب العلم
12:44فريضة
12:45على كل مسلم
12:46و مسلمة
12:47that
12:47the seeking
12:49of
12:49Islamic knowledge
12:51is an obligation
12:52upon every male,
12:53Muslim,
12:54and female.
12:55Muslim.
12:56So,
12:56everyone should make effort
12:57to learn these rulings.
12:58And inshaAllah
12:59over time
12:59it will become easier.
13:01Also,
13:01another point
13:02is that
13:03when the Eid al-Adha comes,
13:05Adha comes from the word
13:06Udhiyya
13:06to sacrifice,
13:07to perform sacrifice.
13:09So,
13:09Eid al-Adha,
13:10this is the Eid
13:11whereby
13:12the
13:13animals
13:14are sacrificed
13:15for Allah
13:16subhanahu wa ta'ala.
13:17For example,
13:18there might be a sheep,
13:19there might be a goat,
13:20there might be a cow,
13:22it should be sacrificed
13:23for Allah
13:23subhanahu wa ta'ala.
13:25So,
13:26whoever sacrifices
13:26something for Allah
13:27Azza wa Jal,
13:29then he will get,
13:30as mentioned in the hadith
13:31of Sayyidina Rasulullah
13:32sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
13:33then he will be rewarded
13:34for each and every single
13:36one of the hairs
13:37of the animal
13:38that he sacrifices.
13:40That the sacrificial animal
13:41that he sacrifices,
13:43he will get rewarded,
13:44he will get a good deed
13:45for each and every single
13:46one of the hairs
13:47of the animal,
13:48subhanahu wa ta'ala.
13:48So,
13:51this Eid,
13:52these days hold
13:53great benefit
13:54and great virtues.
13:55And we should make
13:56the most out of this
13:56inshaAllah.
13:57Some of the points
13:58that I mentioned
13:58that you can act upon
13:59is that when we are going
14:01for the Eid Salah,
14:02we take one path.
14:03When we return back
14:04from the Eid Salah,
14:05we take another path.
14:06Okay?
14:07And also,
14:09when we come to the Eid prayer,
14:12we should come wearing
14:12the best clothes that we can.
14:14This is day of happiness,
14:15day of celebration.
14:16We should express
14:17and do our izhaar
14:18of happiness,
14:19inshaAllah.
14:19And as I mentioned,
14:21whoever sacrifices
14:22the animal for the sake
14:23of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
14:25he will get a good deed
14:26for each and every single
14:28one of the hairs
14:29that he sacrifices
14:31on the animal,
14:32subhanahu wa ta'ala.
14:33So, there are many,
14:34many ventures,
14:35many, many good deeds.
14:36that can be attained
14:36in these days.
14:37So, we should be eager
14:38for this, inshaAllah.
14:40Allah Umayyadhi mentions
14:41in the Quran,
14:41Isra'atul Kahf,
14:42Inna allazina amalu
14:44wa amalu assalihaati
14:45ka'ad italahim
14:45jannatul firdausi
14:47nuzula.
14:48That whoever believed
14:50and done good deeds,
14:52for them,
14:53jannatul firdaus
14:54will host them.
14:56They will be hosted
14:57in jannatul firdaus.
14:58Meaning,
14:59they will eat
14:59in jannatul firdaus.
15:01So,
15:02my dear,
15:02and small brothers,
15:04now is the time
15:05to end these good deeds.
15:06Now is the time
15:07we can get
15:08many, many good deeds.
15:10And we should make
15:11the most out of this,
15:11inshaAllah.
