00:00The first thing happened to me is that the first thing happened to me is that I had a bad news.
00:09I think this was too difficult for me.
00:12My students, whether it's on WhatsApp or on Facebook,
00:17they all opened the door.
00:19They were talking about how to deal with it.
00:21The first thing happened to me was,
00:24is that we should be able to leave the news?
00:26They said,
00:27I don't know if you can see this news.
00:30At that time, it was a bit empty.
00:32I thought,
00:33if this happened, what would I do next?
00:35What do we do?
00:46In mid-May, the Trump administration issued an order
00:49to stop Harvard University from enrolling international students.
00:53In a week after the enrollment ban,
00:55U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced that his department would aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students at all U.S. universities.
01:05A federal judge has paused the Harvard enrollment ban,
01:08and it is unclear what will become of the Chinese student visa purge.
01:12Still, international students in the U.S. are worried about their future.
01:16D.W. spoke with two students at America's most prestigious university about how they are dealing with the Trump administration's crackdown.
01:25Harvard University has over 6,800 of international students,
01:2827% of international students in the U.S.
01:30and 1% of international students from China.
01:33Fang Zhou Zhang is among the Chinese students at Harvard.
01:38He's planning to graduate next year.

01:44He's planning to graduate next year.
01:45He's planning to graduate next year.
01:46He's planning to graduate next year.
01:47He's planning to graduate next year.
01:48So many students are very, very, very, very scared.
01:52Who from Taiwan is also affected by the ban?
01:55She's currently enrolled in Harvard Medical School's Ph.D. program.
01:59The Trump administration says Harvard refused to hand over data on international students
02:28and accused the university of failing to address accusations of anti-Semitism on campus
02:34The Homeland Security statement claimed that Harvard hosted and trained members of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps
02:55a CCP paramilitary group complicit in the Uyghur genocide
02:59It also claimed that Harvard used the Pentagon's funds to partner with Chinese universities
03:04tied to military advancements and partnered with individuals linked to China's defense industrial base
03:10You think Trump's government this time is particularly in China's defense?
03:15I think Trump or his team are talking to China is a very easy thing to understand
03:23Because if we talk to China, we can be able to change矛盾 or to attract more people's eyes
03:30So I think there are more opportunities in this country
03:34Except for this year's graduates, the band orders foreign students to transfer to other schools
03:58Those who have been offered admission but have yet to enter the U.S. also cannot apply for a student visa
04:04Harvard filed a lawsuit and a federal judge blocked Trump's order one day later
04:09The President of the National Security Court
04:12The Board of Justice nerdy Congress
04:13The President of the Republican Party
04:14The President of the Justice Department
04:15But the Board of Justice operations have still no 100% team
04:18They prepared the ultimate decision that they're prepared
04:21If all the administration is doing the next step, the President's rebellion
04:24They can lose or the governor's the government
04:25If they don't want to fly, they may need to take the decision to the police
04:28That I am willing to be sent to other schools
04:30I would hope that this is the best scenario scenario
04:32If it is the best scenario
04:33If we think it will be better
04:36And if it's not bad, that really...
04:39Because Harvard doesn't have money to hire postdocs,
04:43it's really going to go back.
04:47When a international student went back to the United States,
04:50in the country or in the United States,
04:53if the national security department is not allowed to go back,
05:00even if we have the law of the law,
05:04it may also be in the country,
05:06it may be in the country,
05:07it may be in the country,
05:08it may be in the country.
05:10Harvard is a 400-year-old history institution,
05:14a school.
05:16It's been through several different countries,
05:19several different policies,
05:21even in a war.
05:24It's been a long time to prevail.
05:27Harvard if it's been to the other schools,
05:29I think there should be no more勇气
05:32to go to the government and fight against the government.
05:36There's a term called,
05:37it's called,
05:38this is my feeling.
05:39Harvard never has been able to join me.
05:41I don't think that as a student,
05:43I should be able to do this and feel like this.
05:45Harvard gave the things really too much.
05:47You can get to the knowledge of this,
05:50you will feel you're always in the future.
05:53I think I can't believe this and then
05:55I'm going to make sure
