L'Onu: a Gaza il 100% della popolazione è a rischio carestia

Ginevra (Svizzera), 30 mag. (askanews) - Gaza è "l'unica area definita" sulla Terra in cui l'intera popolazione è a rischio carestia. Lo ha dichiarato Jens Laerke, portavoce dell'Ufficio delle Nazioni Unite per il Coordinamento degli Affari Umanitari (OCHA), parlando a Ginevra."Gaza è il luogo più affamato del mondo" ha detto. "Il 100% della popolazione è a rischio carestia". E parlando degli aiuti in arrivo, ha spiegato che si tratta "di una goccia nell'oceano". "L'operazione umanitaria che siamo pronti a lanciare è soggetta a restrizioni operative che la rendono una delle operazioni umanitarie più ostacolate, non solo nel mondo di oggi, ma nella storia recente" ha aggiunto Laerke.
