00:26Ash, pag-usapan natin yung journey mo.
00:30Sa bodybuilding, paano ka ba nagsimula dito?
00:33Okay, before kasi, nung bata pa ako, college time,
00:38sobrang payat ko din. I'm always sick.
00:41Tapos marami nang bubuli sa akin.
00:43So basically, what I did is try to change my life through fitness.
00:47So at the beginning, medyo mahirap kasi sobrang payat ko.
00:51I was only weighing 85 pounds.
00:54Tapos ngayon, I'm already 145, all muscle.
00:57So at that time, medyo nahirapan talaga ako dahil dun sa mga adversities.
01:03So what I did is just try to focus and just work out as much as you can.
01:08Tapos after a while, nakikita ko na yung changes.
01:11That's why I was thinking na ipromote ko ito kasi positive yung mga nangyayos.
01:14Speaking of changes, ano yung mga nabago nito sa buhay mo since 2016 na nagko-compete ka?
01:20Actually, mas naging healthy ako, mas naging focus ako with the things that I'm doing.
01:28And with my age, I'm already turning 43 years old.
01:31Medyo mas yalan na rinip ko yung benefits ng fitness.
01:38Ano yung pinakahuling competition na sinalihan mo at paano ka nag-prepare?
01:43I compete natural.
01:46So basically, nagbawas lang ako ng mga things na like the sweets, yung mga sobrang fats.
01:52Kasi all year round, ano na ako yung lean.
01:55So I maintain a lean physique but at the same time trying to have two digits ng body fat percentage.
02:03Say for example, 12 ngayon.
02:04So pag mag-compete ako mga 9%, 10% lang mga gano'n.
02:08Napaka-technical din pala.
02:10Pero pwede ba natin, Sir Aster, ibahagi yung differences ng mga categories?
02:16Ikaw sa natural, yung iba, ano po ba yung mga ibat-ibang categories?
02:20May mga physique category, fitness model category, classic physique, bodybuilding.
02:26So you have to know really kung ano yung body type mo para at least mas effective ka
02:30dun sa sasalihan mo na klaseng bodybuilding ka or physique.
02:36Yan, you should know yung kung saan.
02:38Halimbawa, pag sobrang massive ka, muscular, I think you're good for classic or bodybuilding.
02:44Pag lean naman, athletic physique look, maybe men's physique or men's fitness model.
02:50So you have to know talaga yung category mo.
02:52Kasi if not, minus points yan eh.
02:55Kasi parang mupunta ka sa show na hindi ka para dun.
02:59So yan lang.
03:00That's one of the tips.
03:01Yes, so bilang as a proud natural athlete, paano ba na may maintain yung gains at yung performance mo nang walang shortcuts?
03:08Actually, dapat di ka nagpupuyat masyado talaga kasi konting puyat mo lang.
03:13Sobrang hirap as in nababurn yung muscle mass na binild mo.
03:17Tapos yung protein intake mo, you have to hit at least mga 130 kung 150 ka.
03:23At least mga ganon to 140 yung grams ng protein pag muscle building.
03:28Tapos yung calories mo din at the same time.
03:31So the calorie part, yan yung nilalaro ng mga athlete.
03:35Para at least to cut down or to add a little bit of mass.
03:38Parang medyo mahirap, no?
03:41Hindi naman mahirap challenging yung disiplina at yung preparation mo sa ganyang sitwasyon.
03:49Pero meron ka bang ibang ginagawa?
03:51May pinagkakaabalahan ka ba aside from bodybuilding?
03:54At paano mo na mamanage yun?

04:30Actually, sa IFBB, I did that was last 2020.
04:36Pinabig ko was in Australia.
04:40For the Australian Natural Bodybuilding.
04:43So they held a pro show, amateur pro show there.
04:47So I represented the Philippines.
04:49I ended up bagging third place.
04:51Ngirap din kasi, kasi ang daming delay sa flight dito.
04:54So two days out din na pag-workout.
04:56So medyo na setback ng onte.
05:00Medyo nag-hold lang water dahil sa stress din.
05:02But all in all, it was a good experience actually.
05:06So I'm urging everyone to join Natural Bodybuilding if you guys aspire to have those kind of opportunities.
05:16You know, might as well.
05:17Kasi if you're not gonna try, you're not gonna be able to find out.

05:22Kailangan natin na.
05:23Oo nga.
05:24Yung disiplina.
05:25Ibig sabihin, yung disiplina ni Ash.
05:27Alam mo, gusto ko yung mga ganitong topic sana.

05:36Ayan yung goal natin.
05:37Kaso sabi ng floor director natin, dalawang question na lang.
05:41Pero Ash, ano yung advice mo sa mga gustong maging fitness model or men's physique athlete na gusto rin maging natural?
05:49You have to start as early as now.
05:52It's never too late.
05:53But the thing is, you're looking on to maturing your muscle.
05:57And as a Natural Bodybuilder, medyo mahirap magmature yung muscle natin.
06:02Kasi we're not taking androgynous substance or steroids to speed up our muscle mass.
06:09So with that, kailangan talaga yung sleep, yung nutrition, and the training part of course.
06:15You can't be training like a baby and expect to have gains.
06:20So yan.
06:21You get what you put in.
06:24Kaano ba kahirap?
06:25Kasi lalo na you mentioned your age.
06:28Kasi comparing sa metabolism, di ba?
06:31Yung pag-gain weight natin compared sa mas bata, medyo mas mahirap siya.
06:37At syempre yung kunting kain lang sa edad na ganito, di ba?
06:42Mabilis kang mag-gain ng weight, mahirap mag-lose.
06:46Oo. Actually, I'm an advocate of strength and conditioning.
06:52So yun yung ginagawa ko ever since.
06:55So I'm still able to lift a certain amount of weight na mabigat from those normals na naikita nyo.
07:02It's because throughout the years, I was able to hone and train with that kind of training system.
07:08So basically, yun lang, tataas yung muscle mass mo, magmamature siya.
07:13So para ka naka-Lamborghini ngayon, yung makina ng katawad mo, ang bilis nyo pa rin mag-burn.
07:19Metabolic age ko is only 21 years old.
07:22Oh, wow. Amazing.
07:23So yun na-target mo na pang.
07:25Oo, ngayon nga eh.
07:26Pero fast forward 5 to 10 years, saan mo nakikita yung sarili mo, both in and out of the fitness industry?
07:34Basically, having a gym business, clothing line, promoting yung mga siguro pag may mga promoters tayo and stuff like that.
07:43You know, trying to just be involved with the fitness industry.
07:48Kasi nandiyan na tayo eh.
07:50It's our life's worth.
07:53So might as well, you know, go all in.
07:55That's what I'm saying to all my clients.
07:57I've been coaching for the past 14 years now.
