00:00La Cámara Prosecuencia de la Cámara ha autorizado a la policía Merseyside de la Cámara a cargo Paul Doyle, aged 53, de West Derby, Liverpool,
00:22with offences of dangerous driving, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm,
00:32and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
00:35This is following a complex and ongoing investigation into an incident in Water Street, Liverpool, on Monday 26th May 2025.
00:44The defendant will appear before Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Friday 30th May 2025.
00:56The investigation is at an early stage.
01:00Prosecutors and police are continuing to work at pace to review a huge volume of evidence.
01:07This includes multiple pieces of video footage and numerous witness statements.
01:12It is important to ensure that every victim gets the justice they deserve.

01:29A total of 79 people were injured.
01:33We continue to be in contact with our officers and staff.
01:37And seven people remain in hospital, receiving the expert care of our NHS colleagues.
01:45Doyle has been remanded into custody and he will appear.
01:49As you have heard from our CPS colleagues, the man arrested by Merseyside Police following the incident on Water Street
01:56has now been charged with seven serious offences.
02:00Paul Desmond Sanders-Doyle, 53 years, of Burghill Road, West Derby, has this afternoon been charged with two counts of unlawful and malicious
02:12grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
02:28Two counts of attempted unlawful and malicious grievous bodily harm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
02:34All contrary to Section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861
02:41He has also been charged with one count of dangerous driving
02:46Contrary to Section 2 of the Road Traffic Act 1988
02:50Merseyside Police is determined
02:55Doyle has been remanded into custody
02:58And he will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court in the morning
