00:04for the second time since Mertz has been elected Chancellor in Berlin on Wednesday.
00:10As rifts within the new coalition begin to surface over key policies
00:14such as weapons deliveries to Ukraine, Mertz underlined Berlin's support for Kyiv
00:19and renewed calls for a ceasefire.
00:22Mertz said that Germany will continue and expand military support for Ukraine
00:27and that Berlin and Kyiv's defence ministries will work together to procure long-range weapons.
00:33The pressure to send tourist missiles continues to mount on Germany
00:36but for now Ukraine will be making the long-range missiles with the help of Germany
00:41according to the agreement that is to be signed this Wednesday.
00:46Selensky thanked Mertz again for his visit in Kyiv saying it was an important signal.
00:52He highlighted that Germany was an important support in air defence
00:55and expressly thanked Germany for this.
00:58Towards the end he also said that he wished for German companies to participate
01:02in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
