Jess Carter admits Mary Earps' retirement from international football will be a big loss for England

00:02I think Mary's an incredible person, an incredible goalkeeper.

00:06And I don't really know many people who have worked as hard as she has.

00:10So I think I'm just sad that she's not going to be here.

00:13I always look forward to seeing her.

00:14I think it's been incredible.

00:16Like I said, I think that she was really overlooked for a long time.

00:19And playing for England meant so much to her.

00:22I think you could see it every time she put the top on.

00:26So I think she's made some incredible achievements on the pitch

00:29and off the pitch.

00:30I think people will maybe forget that what she's done

00:32for the women's game off the pitch is phenomenal,

00:34particularly the goalkeepers.

00:36I don't think they get much love.

00:37And I think that the way that she's helped to raise women's football

00:41in this country is unbelievable.

00:42And I wish her all the best in everything she does next.

00:45It's a huge loss.

00:46Like I said, she's an incredible person, an incredible goalkeeper.

00:50And she doesn't lack in the confidence department on the pitch.

00:53So I think it is really nice to have her behind us.

00:55But obviously, we no longer have that.

00:59So it's about building those connections with the other goalkeepers

01:03that we've got and making sure they're as strong as possible

01:06for the Euros and the upcoming games.
