L'ordre économique mondial "est en train de se fracturer", a alerté lundi la présidente de la BCE Christine Lagarde lors d'une conférence à Berlin, dans le contexte de la guerre commerciale initiée par les Etats-Unis.

00:20the United States set the stage for trade to flourish and for finance to expand.

00:30The global order proved extremely beneficial for Europe, whose founding liberal principles aligned seamlessly with it.

00:42But today, as you hinted, this is fracturing.

00:50Multilateral cooperation is being replaced by zero-sum thinking and bilateral power plays.

00:58Openness is giving way to protectionism, and there is even uncertainty about the cornerstone of the system, the dominant role of the U.S. dollar.
