00:41The way the game ended in the last half-hour going down to ten men

00:45and then seeing such a great reaction from the players and the fans,

00:48which led to, in my opinion, a deserved goal.

00:52We deserved to go 1-1.

00:54These players and these fans hate losing, don't want to lose.

01:00That's what we saw today again.

01:02Yeah, I think the word brilliant and our fans goes together.

01:16How brilliant they were before the Tottenham game,

01:22during the Tottenham game and afterwards.

01:24I don't think you see many special celebrations as you saw four weeks ago.

01:28I don't think you see many of them like we had today.

01:30So yeah, it's no surprise to me at all that they were brilliant.

01:34Again, today as they were throughout the whole season,

01:37as they were towards Trent.

01:39But maybe it also helped what an unbelievable half he played.

01:44The passes he played were, if you make a highlight of this,

01:48probably it's going to take you three, four or five minutes.

01:51The ball to Darwin was another level, was next level.

01:56So he deserved it.

01:59Very happy for him, for everyone in and around the club,

02:09And that tells you how hard it is to leave a club like this.

02:18And many of them stay, not trying to make the decision to go,

02:23But it was great for him to have a farewell as he had today.

02:51But that's what we have to see in the upcoming, no, not in the upcoming weeks.

02:55We will see this when pre-season starts and when we start again.

02:59A few of them have already shown that they can win multiple times.

03:04So I'm talking about the ones that have won the league and the Champions League here before.

03:08And these are also the players that just keep on performing year after year after year,

03:12even if they don't win it.

03:14And a few of them now won the league for the first time,

03:16and they have to show that they have the same mentality as the ones that have won it here before.

03:20And I'm looking forward to be part of that.

03:24And, yeah, we know it's going to be tough again.

03:29It was already very tough this season.

03:31It's going to be probably just as tough or even tougher next season.

03:34Because the club that we've competed with this season

03:37have always, in every window, always invested a lot of money.

03:42And they're probably going to do so this summer as well.

03:45And, yeah, we did things differently last season.

03:48I don't think it has been said a lot, but maybe I'm completely wrong,

03:51because the one that told me maybe lied to me.

03:53But he said to me that since Alex Ferguson won the league,

03:56the last time he won the league,

03:58not a team has had so many academy minutes

04:01as our academy players had this season.

04:04So that's been really special.

04:06And we didn't do, apart from signing Federico Chiesa last summer,

04:50But it's not always easy to sign good players, let alone to sign them early in the window.

04:56But this club doesn't start working from today onwards.

05:02Because there is so much hard work being done behind the scenes already this season

05:06to find out which targets we have and try to sign them.

05:10I have all the confidence that if we've addressed the right player,

05:16that we try to sign that player.

05:22But let's see when that's going to happen and if that's going to happen.

05:28Because I'm very happy with the squad we already have on the front.

05:31What do you think you remember most about tonight?

05:34How passionate these fans are for the club.

05:44And how special it is to win something, let alone over here.

05:49I think I could feel today that it was 35 years ago that they were part of it.

05:53So it's only been five years ago that we won the league,

05:56but unfortunately the fans couldn't be there.

05:58Now they were and I think everybody could see what it means for the fans to win it.

06:03And that is what makes it special and in the end for us as well.

06:06Because you play football for yourself, for your family,

06:09but definitely also for the fans.

06:11And we are privileged that we can play it in front of these.

06:14Because these ones are special, which we're going to again show tomorrow.

06:17Because if other teams or clubs show the trophy in their city,

06:23then there are a lot of people out there.

06:25Some great videos you can see.

06:27But I think this is again going to be next level.

06:30Can we expect more radical changes in the way that the team is structured

06:42and the way it plays from the evolution that we've seen this year?

06:48No radical changes you would probably not see,

06:51because that would be a bit weird if you won the league.

06:54But I just said that if the whole team stays together,

06:59we can improve even with this team.

07:01We need to improve with this team.

07:03But if we are able to bring new players in,

07:06then maybe you have to adapt to their qualities as well.

07:10But that will never be drastically, is that the word you use?

07:15Because this is the playing style I prefer,

07:19this is the playing style the club prefers,

07:22and our fans want to see as well.

07:24So we try to find players if we think we need a new player

07:29that can fit this playing style.

07:31But you always adjust to worse,

07:34maybe new things you can expect,

07:36and you try to improve to this season.

07:41I have a follow-up if I may.

07:42In the golden era of Bob Paisley,

07:44which many of us remember,

07:46Bob Paisley would add one or two players each year to a good size.

07:54He didn't wait for the side to try and he added those two players.

07:59That seemed to work incredibly well for Liverpool.

08:02Is that a model that you would like us to follow?

08:05Not all of us here were part of that,

08:07so you need to have a certain age if you were part of that.

08:12But like I said,

08:15everybody was a bit surprised that we didn't strengthen the team last year

08:19and as a result of that we won the league.

08:21So there's not one thing that is smart to do.

08:25But if we need to strengthen the team we will,

08:28because I don't know yet if all the players that maybe didn't play that much this season

08:33if they all want to stay, yes or no.

08:35So this is something we will find out in the upcoming weeks.

08:39And like I said,

08:41this club has always worked in a way that if they addressed the right target

08:45we're trying to sign that one.

08:47And we do it our own way,

08:49so we're not hurried or rushed by what other people say.

08:53This club really knows what they are doing.

08:57And that's the same what we're going to do in this summer as well.
