Himani Jain: A vision beyond sight

Born visually impaired, Himani Jain from Khedli, Rajasthan, scored 92.4% in her Class 12 board exams.

00:04Born visually impaired Himani Jain from Kedli, Rajasthan scored an impressive 92.4% in her Class 12 Rajasthan board exams.

00:13She learned everything by listening to her teachers and family reading aloud.

00:17On being asked about her future plans, she said,

00:22Himani earlier aced her 10th grade with a stellar 84.5%.

00:27When the results came in, joy overflowed.

00:29Sweets were shared among friends and family.

00:34Beyond the books, Himani enjoys music, plays the harmonium and the piano and loves singing.

00:39Born at just six months, she faced early challenges that led to a loss of eyesight.

00:44Doctors too had given up hope.

00:46But Himani Jain never gave up hope throughout her life.

00:48I got a chance to catch my family and do something to do in my life.

00:57So I want to keep my ability to carry on.

00:59I want to have a name to everyone and to my family and to my family.
