Looking for an underwater adventure? Then we've got just the place for you. Off the coast of Malta is a beautiful diving spot that lets divers experience the thrill of swimming next to a scuttled shipwreck and a statue of Jesus.

00:30It's actually one of only two places in Malta that you can see the religious statue.

00:36One is the Madonna in Chikawa and then this one is the Statue of Jesus.

00:42The wreck and the statue are underwater purposely sunk for divers as attractions.

01:00It's of significance for the divers.

01:12A lot of the divers here, they'll touch the forehead of the Christ and there's a little

01:31sort of bald spot on his head.

01:33They touch that for luck.

01:34Well, Malta gets 160,000 divers a year.

01:45Not everyone can actually dive this site.

01:47You need to be at least advanced open water with a deep specialty because she's 36 meters

01:54to the floor.

01:55But she attracts a lot of people.

01:57I mean, some days there'll be 20 to 30 divers a day during summer.

02:01One of the funniest things I've ever seen on the statue is two very large urchins that had

02:12actually grown under the armpits of Jesus.

02:14And it looked like he had extremely hairy armpits.

02:27It's a very peaceful dive site.

02:29There's a lot of fish around the area and it's very, very scenic.

02:33It's like a horseshoe shape with the statue in the middle on white sand and you have these

02:38nice reefs around you.
