01:40Y, of course, there's no bigger Florida fan
01:41than Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

02:30Congratulations on your election.
02:32I was worried about you, Randy.
02:34I was worried.
02:35He ended up winning by 16 points, right?
02:37I wasn't too worried.
02:40Scott Franklin.
02:41Scott, thank you very much.
02:42Carlos Jimenez.
02:44Where's Carlos?
02:45Come on up, Carlos.
02:47Good guy.
02:47Mike Herodopoulos.
02:48Laura Lee.
02:49Laura?
02:49Laura Lee.
02:50Look at this.
02:50Hi, Greg.
02:51They don't have your name there.
02:52And Greg, get up here, Greg.
02:53Greg, get up here, Greg.
02:54Greg Stubbe.
02:55Anna Paulina Luna.
02:56Anna.
02:57Come on, Anna.
02:58Jimmy Patronis.
02:59Jimmy, congratulations.
03:00That was a big election.
03:01We got them all.
03:02We have Greg up here.
03:03Thanks, as well, to the wonderful members of the
03:04Florida State Department.
03:05Thanks, as well, to the wonderful members of the
03:06Florida State Department.
03:07and a very special thanks to the NFL legend and
03:10University of Florida.
03:11I mean, one of the greatest players I've ever seen.
03:13I'll tell you what.
03:16As a college player, maybe the best ever.
03:19And you did damn well.
03:21de la Florida State Legislature.
03:23Y un especial gracias a la NFL legend
03:27y la Universidad de Florida.
03:28Uno de los mejores jugadores que he visto.
03:30Y yo te lo que, como un jugador,
03:34es el mejor jugador.
03:35Y tú did tan bien.
03:39Y tú did tan bien en la pros,
03:41tú.
03:42He was great.
03:43Despite being on the Jets,
03:44tú did tan bien.
03:47Come on up here, Tim.
03:48You've got to come up here.
03:50Tim Tebow.
03:51And he's a terrific guy.
03:54He is a terrific guy.
03:56He's a winner.
03:57Boy, he was a winner.
03:59Well, you win two, right?
04:00And you almost won a third.
04:02Because nobody did much better.
04:03Nobody did that.
04:05I think we, you know, he goes down really
04:07as one of the best, maybe the best college football
04:09player, if you think about it, based on,
04:12we can only base that on results, right, Tim?
04:14Which is all that counts.
04:16A great guy, too.
04:18The 2025 University of Florida basketball team
04:21was one for the history books.
04:23And I saw a few of those games.
04:25And they were tough games against great teams.
04:28You brought home the third national title
04:30in program history and made Florida the only
04:33Division I program ever to win three national
04:36titles in both basketball and football.
04:39That's not bad.
04:39The team was hot from the very beginning, starting
04:52off the year with a 13-game winning streak and roaring
04:55to a 27-4 record in the regular season against really,
04:59really good competition, including two wins over number
05:03one ranked opponents.
05:05In one of the pivotal moments early in the season,
05:08the Gators found themselves in a fierce battle with South
05:11Carolina.
05:11Great team trailing the Gamecocks 52 to 38, coach.
05:16That's pretty good, coach.
05:18They're not too happy about it, are they?
05:19That's one of those, you know, you're happy.
05:21But they're not happy when that happens.
05:24With 12 minutes left in the clock, fighting against
05:27time, the Gators clawed your way back into striking
05:30distance.
05:31With just five seconds left in the clock, senior
05:33guard Will Richards seized his moment
05:42and drove in hard to sink a game-winning layup,
05:45earning Florida a 70 to 69 come from behind victory.
05:50Well done.
05:50Where is Will?
05:52I want to see this guy.
05:53That's great.
05:57That's great, Will.
06:01Boy, oh boy, these are good-looking guys.
06:04And they're definitely, they're definitely tall.
06:08One of my guys sat downstairs, he's a big guy,
06:10he said, these are the tallest human beings I've
06:12ever seen.
06:14You know, I have a son who's six foot nine.
06:16But six foot nine's not, I now see, you know, he always
06:19says, Dad, I'm not that tall compared to some of these
06:21guys.
06:23And now, I understand what he's talking about.
06:26By the SEC tournament, Florida truly caught fire.
06:30The Gators even set a new tournament scoring record when
06:33you beat Alabama 104 to 82 in the closing minutes of the
06:37SEC championship game against Tennessee.
06:41The volunteers cut the Gators' 13-point lead down to five.
06:45Ooh, that's called sometimes choke time, coach.
06:47That's never good when you take that big lead and you're
06:51all, you're thinking about your victory speech, you
06:54forget to play basketball, right?
06:57You forget you've got to play golf or basketball or
06:59whatever, and then all of a sudden you say, oh man, we
07:02could lose this sucker, huh?
07:04That's never good, but you handled it, the pressure was
07:07on, you handled it, that's when star senior guard Walter
07:10Clayton, Jr., I'll tell you, I hear he's really good.
07:28See, he's really rich, too, you know, seize control of the
07:33game.
07:37I hear he's unbelievable, special, going to be a very
07:50early draft choice, sir, I think, if they're smart, if
07:54they're smart.
07:55Seize control of the game and scored eight straight points,
07:58leading the Gators to your first SEC championship in 11
08:01years and earning himself a title in the tournament MVP.
08:06That's great, a lot of MVPs up there.
08:08Up next was the big dance.
08:11Florida opened March Madness with a commanding win over
08:15Norfolk State and followed it up by edging out two-time
08:18defending champ UConn.
08:20That's tough.
08:21And a thrilling 77-75 win.
08:23Some of these games are close, Coach.
08:27You know what they say about those close?
08:28That means they have a good coach.
08:30You won a lot of close games here.
08:33The Elite Eight brought to a faceoff with Texas Tech down
08:36by nine.
08:37With under four minutes left, Florida responded with a
08:40furious rally led by sophomore Thomas Hawk, who made back-to-
08:45back three-pointers, back-to-back three-pointers, back-to-back.
08:55He's got good hair, too.
08:58Nice hair.
08:59He's got no hair loss problem, I can tell you.
09:04Thomas was still on full display as he earned his fourth
09:08double-double of the season by recording 20 points and 11
09:13rebounds while against the Red Raiders and with an 84-79
09:18victory over Texas Tech.
09:20You punched your ticket to the final four.
09:22Not easy to do.
09:23Thank you.
09:24Not easy to do, fellas.
09:26Facing off against top-seeded Auburn, Walter Clayton again.
09:30Walter Clayton, this guy Walter Clayton has to be very- Walter
09:35Clayton Jr. turned in another big performance, dropping a
09:38career-high 34 points and became the first player since
09:41Larry Bird.
09:43How good was Larry Bird?
09:46In 1979 to score 30 points or more in both the Elite Eight and
09:50the Final Four.
09:52They like Larry Bird, I do, too.
10:05So in the championship game against the Houston Cougars, what
10:08became one of the most hard-fought title games in
10:10college basketball history, the first half was a battle over
10:15every point, with both teams playing ferocious defense and the
10:19lowest-scoring first half of a championship game since 2011.
10:24The Gators fell behind and it was looking bad, but in the
10:28second half, Florida stormed back with a 14-3 run.
10:31That's not bad.
10:32With less than 60 seconds left on the clock, Houston led by one
10:37point.
10:38Did you think you were going to win?
10:39I did.
10:40That's what he gets paid for.
10:43Houston then fouled Elijah Martin, okay, where's Elijah?
10:59Giving him two free throws, which he easily sank.
11:04Were you nervous?
11:05I always say, here's a guy.
11:07He's got a sink.
11:08It's not that easy.
11:09I can name a couple of very big players that didn't do too
11:12well in that circumstance.
11:14Were you nervous when you were up?
11:17No.
11:18That's pretty good.
11:21He sank them both, Coach, right?
11:23Oh, if you didn't sink him, you wouldn't be up here right
11:26now.
11:27And nobody would ever call you again.
11:31That's great.
11:32That's a lot of pressure.
11:33That's a tremendous thing.
11:34Houston fouled junior guard Denzel Aberdeen, who expanded
11:40Florida's lead again.
11:41And that's great.
11:42Where's Denzel?
11:44I love that name, Denzel Aberdeen.
11:50I have a place in Aberdeen, Scotland.
11:52I like that name, Aberdeen.
11:55And he's a good player, Coach?
11:56I wouldn't.
11:57I'd like to have him say, no, not that good.
12:00You look like a good player.
12:03On Houston's final possession, the Gators clamped down,
12:07pressured the ball.
12:08That's right.
12:08I saw that game.
12:09That was a crazy game.
12:11And forced a turnover.
12:12The ball rolled loose, and the Gators clinched the
12:15national championship 65 to 63 in one of the most
12:19exciting games and championships they've ever had.
12:23That's a great coaching, lesser teams would have crumbled.
12:35That was a hell of a game.
12:37Tim, what do you think?
12:38Pretty good, right?
12:38The best.
12:39The President Biden's final possession, and under that
12:43pressure, very few teams could have withstood that.
12:45That was an amazing moment, actually.
12:47And those two free throws by Denzel were pretty amazing.
12:52But time after time, you refused to let up.
12:55And when you think of it, all these close games, and
12:57against great teams, and a lot of those guys are going
12:59into the NBA.
13:01And you won, Coach.
13:02You just kept winning.
13:04You refused to let up when the odds were against you.
13:06And that's the mark of true champions, all of you.
13:09The coach is great, and the team is great.
13:11And the coach feels really, I asked the first question,
13:14how do you think you'll do this year?
13:15You know, in other words, forget about last year.
13:17How are you doing this year, right?
13:19We always think forward, Coach.
13:20But he said he thinks he's going to have a fantastic team.
13:23Will you go and rank top five or so, or one, or maybe?
13:27I think we'll be top five.
13:28Five?
13:28Good, Coach.
13:29That's good.
13:29Well, if you're top five, that means with you as a coach,
13:31you're going to win, right?
13:32So I think so.
13:36So again, congratulations to a well-earned victory.
13:41And all I can say is, go Gators.
13:42We love you in Florida.
13:43I'll tell you, we love you in Florida.
13:45And now, Coach Golden.
13:47Coach?
13:48Thank you, Coach.
13:50Whoa.
13:51That's my passport.
13:56First of all, thank you, Mr. President, for inviting my team
14:01and our program to the White House to celebrate our national
14:03championship.
14:04It means everything to us, so thank you very much.
14:05And we're going to take you to the Oval Office.
14:07We're going to go to the Oval Office after this.
14:09We're going to the Oval Office after this, right?
14:11And then we just want to thank all of our friends and family
14:14and supporters of our program that are here today, enjoying
14:18this moment and celebrating with us.
14:19If it wasn't for your support all year, we wouldn't be here.
14:23So thank you all very much.
14:24Mr. President, I like to think of our program similarly to how you
14:29think of the United States.
14:30We're a meritocracy, all right?
14:31We work really, really hard.
14:32No matter what you look like or where you come from, if you put
14:35the team first and win, we're going to play you.
14:38And we have a program full of that, guys that have great attitudes,
14:41great work ethics.
14:42Most importantly, want to be at the University of Florida.
14:45All right?
14:46We have young men that have great physical tools,
14:47great basketball talent.
14:49In fact, as Mr. President said, a number of these guys will be
14:52participating in the NBA next year or when their time at Florida is up.
14:56But the reason why we were successful this year is we had
14:58incredible team talent.
14:59We had guys that were willing to play together, sacrifice individual
15:03stats and records for the greater good of the group.
15:06And it led us to a 36-4 record and a trip to the White House.
15:18I'm incredibly proud of my players and our staff and the work that
15:22we've done over the last year.
15:24And our goal is to do everything we can to put ourselves in position
15:27to be here again next year.
15:28But we've got a lot of work to do in the meantime.
15:31But again, Mr. President, thank you so much.
15:33And to show a token of our appreciation, we have an autographed
15:36team basketball and a Donald Trump jersey with number 47 on it.
15:41All right?
15:46To honor your 47th term as President of the United States of America.
15:49Thank you all very much.
15:58Thank you all very much.
15:58Go Gators.
15:59I'm not sure they'll want to.
16:08I think the most exciting room anywhere in the world is called the Oval
16:12Office.
16:13And I'm going to invite the coach and the team down to the Oval Office.
16:17I might even ask our great representatives, senators, Marco,
16:20everybody to come down with them.
16:22And we'll take some pictures in the Oval Office.
16:24And I have a special little coin for them, a really nice coin.
16:28I hope they never lose it.
16:29Because if they do, it's a lot of money, that coin.
16:32But so let's see.
16:34Do you want to go to the Oval Office?
16:35Yes, sir.
16:37I thought they were going to say that.
16:39Thank you all very much.
16:40Great team.
16:40Great, great everything.
16:42Thank you.
16:43Fantastic.
16:44Thank you very much.
17:14Thank you.
17:16Thank you very much.
17:32Thank you.
17:37¡Gracias por ver!
18:07¡Gracias por ver!
