00:00I would define Istria 100 like for everyone because we have five different distances the

00:09shortest one is 21k then we have 42k 69k 110k and the longest one is 168k which is actually

00:19100 miles a lot of suffering but also a lot of joy 168 kilometers this Wow the trail

00:33running community is one of the most amazing communities I've ever had the

00:36opportunity to experience both in the United States and in the other countries

00:40I've visited so I look forward to seeing the community here in Croatia

00:49hey everybody welcome to Croatia to Istria Peninsula the start of the Istria 100 by UTMB

00:57the Queens race we are about 15 minutes away 168 kilometers 6600 meters of positive elevation

01:19the runners will reach to the highest points in Istria most of them during the night the first one but the

01:37second one they will come and see the sunrise and the full view of complete Istria so the runners can

01:47enjoy enjoy the nature in the full potential

01:55so as a Croatian this is the most biggest trail race in the country it's my first time racing 100 miles

02:16only thing that I expect is that it will hurt at some point and it will hurt for quite a long while

02:33the runners who come to Istria they can expect sunny weather as you can see really nice sea views we have a

03:01lot of uphill medieval towns with stone houses and stone street we have a little bit of

03:09coasting we have really technical terrain we have single trails we have steep up hills I think it's a

03:16great way to see Croatia on foot and see the places that you normally wouldn't see maybe and I am

03:23looking forward to see you out there on the course
