00:00I'm stood outside the weekday store on the Moor in Sheffield which also owns

00:04Monkey and today it was announced that their stores will be shutting in June.

00:07This was one of the first projects to open up from the Heart of the City

00:10project so it's very disappointing for a lot of people. We took to the streets to

00:14discuss this with them. I just heard about weekday shopping and I'm a bit

00:18surprised because I've been shopping a weekday for a while. I used to go to

00:22London stores quite a lot, I'm actually wearing weekday right now.

00:25Yeah it's come as a bit of a shock I think no one really expected it to come

00:28and steeply I was saying I'd say because it's a lovely shop.

00:32What kind of effect do you think it will have on the rest of the shops around here?

00:35Because there's not many shops left really.

00:37No, people usually find it quite hard to shop in the city centre. I'd say more people do online shopping

00:42nowadays and don't normally go in the city centre so I think it will drive a lot less

00:45of the public in normally to come out. There's not a lot of shops anyway.

00:50I think it's a really good shop and I'm not sure why it's shutting down because it always seemed quite busy.

00:54I've been in quite a few times, I've brought a couple of items from there.

01:00And what do you think that's going to have, like what impacts it's going to have on the rest of the city centre?

01:05I think most people are going to have to go to Meadowall soon because they haven't got a lot of shops open now

01:10other than like Primark and H&M and that.

01:12I'm currently on a very weekday and I was quite upset here that it's shut.

01:16It's a very nice shop in the city centre and there's not that many clothes shops around here.

01:20It's a good alternative option to like standard shops that you'd go to.

01:24Yeah, so it'll be quite upsetting and like, do you think we'll have the second line now?

01:28Does that kind of remove the fun of it a bit?

01:30Yeah, I mean a little bit. It's quite nice to go and browse in there.

01:32It's a nice big shop in the city centre to go to.
