00:00To the Honourable Minister of Environment and Forest, Shri Eswar Kandreji, when I came in last August, I have requested what Andhra Pradesh is facing for the last 30 years.
00:14In the last 20 years, we felt the need to mitigate elephant and man conflict and how to go about it.
00:23And Karnataka government has done an excellent job having more than 6,000 elephants and the land areas and forest areas are the same yet.
00:31The mitigation measures are excellent and we are sort of learning from Karnataka government and that's how our PCCF Forest Department officials have conveyed it to me at the moment I have taken charge as Forest Minister of Forest.
00:47So the moment I approached the Honourable Professor Forest and Environment, Shri Eswar Kandreji, with a large heart and with a big heart and he welcomed us and whatever is needed he without hesitation, without any second thought he gave us and with the blessings of Honourable CM Sri Shri Eswar Kandreji.
01:05And it is a wonderful gesture and we are grateful to it and it is not just apart from sharing of Kunkie Elephants, transferring of Kunkie Elephants, we also had a deeper knowledge sharing also,
01:20a nine point, nine point knowledge sharing is also there and I am grateful to Honourable CM and Honourable Minister Ferra.
01:27Do you see this as a new beginning between both of our states?
01:29Yeah exactly, that's what even Honourable Deputy Chief Minister Sri Shukumarji also saying about Tungabhadra waters to speak to Honourable CM Srinivasan Bhandari of AP.
01:40And definitely I will take this information, I will take this, whatever the request has been put across and I will take it forward,
01:47I will make sure that I will mediate whatever is needed between both the states.
01:51How many elephants had you previously requested and how many have you requested?
01:55No, in fact we didn't request anything, I said this is what the conflict, it is with their large heartedness and even if it is two elephants I think we are more than given.
02:02In fact the Honourable Minister and the Chief Minister blessed us with six elephants I think to understand.
02:09In fact we never had any idea, it's very difficult, we are seeking it, we can't demand, it's the only thing we can meet and with a large heart he gave us six elephants and two of them are about to come.
