Gaza, l'Onu: "C'è il via libera per inviare circa 100 camion d'aiuti"

Ginevra, 20 mag. (askanews) - Le Nazioni Unite hanno ricevuto il permesso di far passare circa 100 camion d'aiuti nella Striscia di Gaza. "Abbiamo richiesto e ricevuto l'approvazione per l'ingresso di altri camion oggi. Molti di più di quelli approvati ieri", ha dichiarato davanti ai giornalisti a Ginevra Jens Laerke, portavoce dell'Ufficio delle Nazioni Unite per il Coordinamento degli Affari Umanitari (OCHA), aggiungendo che il numero dei camion che possono entrare è "circa un centinaio".Laerke ha detto che gli aiuti saranno poi raccolti e distribuiti in base ai bisogni: "L'esperienza passata ha dimostrato molto chiaramente che meno aiuti arrivano e meno sono distribuiti correttamente a Gaza - ha aggiunto - più aumenta la disperazione, e questo ha diversi effetti prevedibili. Uno è che le forniture insufficienti sono a maggior rischio di saccheggio".

00:55And past experience has very clearly showed that the less aid you get in and the less there is properly distributed in Gaza, the more desperation rises.

01:14One is that the insufficient supplies are a greater risk of being looted.
