00:00Here's a schematic of the eye. Aqueous humor is generated by the ciliary body and flows out of
00:04the eye through Schlemm's canal. We can treat high eye pressure in glaucoma patients by surgically
00:09opening Schlemm's canal and implanting a stent. Here's how the surgery works. First, a microcatheter
00:15is used to cannulate and open Schlemm's canal. Viscoelastic is injected during retraction of
00:20the catheter to free adhesions and keep the canal open. You can see a small amount of heme reflex
00:24from the collector channels during removal. Next, the hydrous microstent is implanted. It has three
00:30windows of scaffolding spanning 90 degrees to help keep Schlemm's canal open. Here I'm using the
00:35injector tool to advance the microstent to its proper and final position. To understand how this works,
00:39let's review the anatomy.
