Survivors recount narrow escape from deadly St Louis tornadoes

00:00A tornado swept through the suburb of New Richmond in Wisconsin in the United

00:07States on Thursday, followed by several other tornadoes in other parts of the

00:11country. The severe weather also hit Dodge County and majority parts of

00:15Wisconsin, leaving a trail of destruction. The state authorities have

00:19issued a tornado watch warning the residents of the weather conditions. In

00:23Missouri, many areas in St. Louis were not spared as the survivors recounted

00:28their narrow escapes. We were in the bedroom. I was sitting with my laptop about

00:33to do some work this afternoon and the sirens came on. The wind started and I

00:40always felt very safe in the city on this block with a brick house that has three

00:48layers of brick. The house was built in 1912 and the wind started and the tree

00:55out front was shaking so violently. I said, come on David, let's let's go. Suddenly all

01:02the doors shut, the windows flew out from the bedroom, the entire back of my house

01:08this is my was my dressing room and you can see straight into the alley now and

01:17also downstairs. My kitchen wall, dining room wall, the bedroom wall over here

01:25completely gone. I was sitting at the waiting on the light to change. It turned dark and I

01:33looked to my left towards Barnes Hospital and I could see the trees and limbs and

01:40branches. Everything just swirling away from me and I just started praying. And

01:47after a few minutes I heard something hit my car and I turned around to look and the

01:54tree wood had fallen on top of my car. Airbags deployed, every window in that car

02:00probably broke except for the driver's side. So when I tell you God is good, God is good.

02:06Authorities reported at least four fatalities and numerous injuries. They expect several

02:12other states to continue to be hit by possible tornadoes.
