Porsche at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

Porsche Penske Motorsport had a challenging race in Spa-Francorchamps.

00:00Good weather, a lot of fans and one of the best track in the world, so it's good.

00:12Sadly we are a little too slow, but otherwise, yeah, always good to be here.

00:30The start was okay, but then I started having some alarms popping up.

00:59And by the end of the Camel Strait, simply the car just gave up and apparently something

01:04to the gearbox.

01:05I could see where we were stronger with the Porsche and definitely it's on tire degradation,

01:11so yes, we maybe are not the fastest, we aim for the podium, so let's see how it goes.

01:29We went for a different strategy than most cars around us, to try and jump people at

01:45the stop by not changing tires, obviously that saves you lots of time in the pits, which

01:49worked, but then you need to put your elbows out, you know, so we have some more rubber

01:53left to hopefully attack at the end, and that's the goal.

02:07I don't know about you, but seventh in a race is not a good result.

02:11We don't compete to get seventh place, let's be honest with you.

02:14Obviously we're frustrated and we'll just keep grinding away, you know, keep trying to drive

02:18well and keep trying to do as good as we can with what we have.

02:22Well, it's for sure a very disappointing result, no question about that.

02:26I think we did an okay job, probably not a perfect job, but yeah, we'll analyze, we'll

02:29look forward and the next one is the more, let's see what we can do.
