00:00Gilas Pilipinas will face a difficult road towards the 2027 FIBA World Cup in Qatar.

00:05After the FIBA World Cup 2027 qualifiers draw, held in Doha, Qatar, 16 teams from the Asia and Oceania regions will compete,

00:13and only seven will have a chance to enter the World Cup.

00:16Gilas Pilipinas will be joined in Group A with Australia, New Zealand, Guam, and the powerhouse teams in their regions.

00:23If Gilas has a chance to enter the next round, they will face teams from Iran, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq.

00:30Meanwhile, host country Qatar has already qualified for the said tournament.

00:34The tournament is currently in the first round of Window 3, while Window 4 is scheduled to start in August.
