King makes heartfelt plea to save planet at Kew Gardens

King Charles and Queen Camilla have attended the 'Wonders of the Wild' event hosted by the charity Elephant Family in Kew Gardens. Their Majesties, joint presidents of the charity, viewed a collection of 30 egg sculptures, created by leading artists and designers, marking the grand finale of the Big Egg Hunt fundraiser. The charity works with conservation experts on the ground to tackle challenges facing Asia's wildlife. In a speech, the King said "whatever we take and exploit from nature, we need to give something back in return" to rescue the planet from degradation. Brazil's former World Cup winning footballer Ronaldo, singer Sophie-Ellis-Bextor and actor Ed Wistwick were among more than 250 guests at the event. Report by Brooksl.
