00:00As we come to the end of another mayoral year, Councillor Ifra Chowdhury is here to celebrate

00:28lots of money for his three very special charities this year.

00:57I am strong when I am on your shoulders, raise me up to more than I can be.

01:17It has been my privilege to represent the borough as the mayor, as the servant of the people

01:24of Worthing.

01:25I am truly honoured.

01:27I called Worthing home 24 years ago.

01:31When I first came in Worthing I only knew three families, of course through my wife, and I

01:37had some cousins.

01:38Throughout my journey, I built up good friendships with the communities, I have made a lot of

01:49sports engagements, a lot of community engagements, working colleagues, above all a lot of good-hearted

01:58people around me.

01:59So I thank you all for your support throughout my journey, and I wish that all of you from

02:08the bottom of my heart that will support me going forward, working for the community in

02:17the future.

02:18But tonight, please enjoy and have praise for the good cause, all the money we need to raise,

02:27where we will go into big excellent charities, although it works for the people of Worthing.
