00:00Imagine finding a real sword stuck in a stone, not from a fairy tale, but in real life.
00:06Deep in the beautiful hills of Tuscany, there is a real sword in a rock that has amazed
00:11people for hundreds of years. This is the story of Saint Calgano, a knight who gave
00:16up fighting to follow a peaceful path. Galgano Guiduti was born in 1148 near Giustino in Tuscany,
00:25Italy. He was a rich and powerful knight. Like many knights of his time, he loved battles,
00:31luxury and fun. But one day his life completely changed. He had visions, dreams or messages from
00:37heaven. In one of them he saw the Archangel Michael. These powerful visions made him decide to stop
00:44fighting and live a simple, peaceful life. Galgano left his old life behind and went to live alone on
00:51a hill called Monticepi. There something amazing happened to show his decision to give up violence
00:57forever. Galgano took a sword and pushed it into a big stone. To everyone's surprise, the sword went
01:04into the stone easily, as if it was soft. That sword is still there today, inside a small round chapel
01:11built in 1185 to honor him. For a long time, people thought this was just a story. But in 2001,
01:19scientists studied the sword. They found that the metal really is from the 12th century, the same
01:26time Galgano lived. They also found empty spaces under the rock, maybe old toms. This proves that
01:33the story might be more real than legend. There's also a spooky tale about a man who tried to steal the
01:40sword. As he pulled at it, wolves appeared and attacked him. The story says only his hands were
01:47left. Believe it or not, two old human hands are now kept near the sword. Scientists say they are
01:53very old, possibly hundreds of years. The sword is inside a chapel called Monticepi Chapel, which is
02:00round and peaceful. It's a special place where people go to pray and learn about Galgano's life.
02:07Inside, you will see beautiful old paintings that show important moments from his journey,
02:12nearby the ruins of the St. Galgano Abbey. Add even more magic to the place, especially under the
02:19clear Tuscany sky. St. Galgano's life teaches that anyone can change. He gave up power and riches to
02:26follow peace and faith. His sword in the stone is a powerful sign of that choice. People still visit
02:33Monticepi today, some for faith, others for the story, and the many just to feel the mystery.
02:39If you are in Tuscany, don't miss Monticepi. It's more than just a tourist spot. It's a place full
02:45of peace, history, and wonder. The story of Knight who left his sword behind will stay with you long
02:51after you leave. If you like this video, please comment, share, and subscribe.
