00:00Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the times
00:10P-pop choreographers popped off, creating some of the most iconic dance routines ever.
00:22Number 10, The Beast, Vision.
00:30All the key words that come to mind when you hear the title of this song are conveyed
00:34through the choreography.
00:36The raw power, steps that match the intensity of the punchy beat, and the members' tireless
00:41energy make this a fantastic debut single.
00:49If you recognize hints of K-pop, it is probably because the dance was created by Korean choreographer
00:55Kim Tae-jung.
00:56Kim has worked with some of the best new dancers in K-pop, like in Hypen's Nicki and
01:01Ryze's Shotaro.
01:02His fresh perspective, combined with Matt Padilla's style and input from Vision's leader C-1-3,
01:08brings us an extraordinary piece that's both addictive and memorable.
01:17Number 9, Wildest Dreams, The Sun Is Falling Remix.
01:21Nadine Lustre, Versatility is her middle name.
01:32The original version of this song is an ethereal, calm, and ambient track, whereas the remix
01:37is a club banger.
01:39This allows Lustre to adopt a whole new persona for the latter's choreography.
01:43It's more girl boss than goddess, and is a fabulous look on her.
01:47Choreographer MJ Arda, known for his iconic dance group A-Team, paints a fierce and feminine
02:00picture, staying true to Nadine's brand.
02:02Such a routine requires stamina like no other, and qualifies as a solid workout.
02:08Thanks to NL's talent, she makes it look effortless.
02:11Number 8, Bang, G22.
02:22They're not called P-POP's female alphas for nothing.
02:32Bang, as you can tell from the name, is a rightfully braggadocious declaration of greatness.
02:36That means the vocals, rap, and dance have to be equally impactful to get the message
02:41across, which is what makes this routine so challenging.
02:52The choreo is thoroughly demanding, with elements of breakdancing, voguing, burlesque, hip-hop,
02:58and dance hall.
02:59Add to that the emphatic singing and the rapper's killer flow, and you have the recipe for a work
03:05of art.
03:05Choreographer AC Lallotta knew exactly what she was doing when she brought this song to
03:10life with her moves.
03:18Number 7, My Mind, Sarah Geronimo, featuring Billie Crawford.
03:22The Philippines' pop star royalty doesn't play about her choreography.
03:26Sarah G, who is best known for being an ace in the entertainment industry, sets the dance
03:30floor on fire with this one.
03:32The influences of artists like Janet Jackson, EXO's Kai, and Lei Zhang are evident, but
03:42what impresses the most is Sarah's signature smoothness and swagger.
03:46She's a performer of the highest order, and it shows with how easily she takes on this
03:50routine by star choreographer J. Joseph Runces-Vallis.
04:03Her lines are ultra-clean expressions, on point, and each step is charged with intention.
04:08The sheer degree of perfection is classic Sarah Geronimo.
04:12Meanwhile, Billie brings a dash of charm with his street-style segment, making a swoon.
04:18What a pair.
04:24Number 6, 5678, Kaya.
04:27Despite being widely known as SB19's sister group, this p-pop girl band is finding their
04:32own color.
04:33The strength of this dance routine comes from the synergy of the group.
04:42Each Kaya member executes their part flawlessly, but at the same time, they're all in tune with
04:48each other.
04:48Despite having no scope for rest, they look like they barely broke a sweat.
04:53That's part of why the dance break is even more impressive.
04:55Just when you think the girls couldn't get any more fired up, the choreo hits harder.
05:04Renowned artists Aaron Jazz Runces and Kenshin Tabion did a great job of matching their
05:09choreo to the band's praised skills.
05:11As for us, we might be better suited to admiring than attempting.
05:21Number 5, Carrera, Beanie.
05:23For the girl group that captivated global fans, having Class A choreography comes as
05:29no surprise.
05:30The Beanie members have made a name for their dancing skills, but their performance in Carrera
05:34is a cut above the rest.
05:43The dynamic formations offer a satisfying visual experience, amplified by the seamless synchronization.
05:49There are sweeping movements to give the routine a grand feeling, but more delicate
05:53gestures that are also peppered in for flavor.
05:56There's even sign language integrated to connect with fans in the deaf community.
06:00And we will teach you the sign language part.
06:02So, you raise your two hands, and then you swipe it from down, and then up, down, up, and
06:13then this one, together with your head, and then right, left.
06:20Don't underestimate the difficulty level from how bright and airy this routine looks.
06:25The footwork is intricate, and it must require immense core strength to keep up the fast
06:30pace.
06:30Clearly, they put in the hours, and it paid off.
06:34Number 4, No Way Man, MNL48.
06:45Any choreography could get a hundred times harder if you have to do it with a group, when
06:49the group is as large as MNL48.
06:52That task understandably becomes Herculean.
06:55For this track, 16 members come together, and they allow zero room for error.
07:06The breathless dance routine of No Way Man, filled with kicks, lifts, jumps, and twirls,
07:12belongs in an aerobics class.
07:14The emphasis on upper body movements is sure to leave your arms sore, if you're even able
07:25to make it till the end of the song, that is.
07:27So, unless you're gonna give this dance a try while coordinating 15 others and singing,
07:32we wouldn't recommend calling it easy.
07:34No Way Man, oh oh oh oh no way man, ah, nangiyari mga di nai na asa hangiba.
07:41Number 3, What, SB19.
07:44Arguably, the biggest P-pop boy group's most difficult choreography is made by their very
07:48own member, Stell, alongside Tank Bautista.
07:51Now, that's a flex if we've ever seen one.
07:58What boasts a complex and original routine that keeps up with all the tempo changes while
08:03maintaining coherence, Stell and Tank's composition shows clear understanding of each member's
08:08strengths, and helps them shine in ways only they can.
08:19The steps are explosive, but there are moments of levity that bring the piece together.
08:24Most importantly, you can tell they're having fun.
08:27Ginto might have gone viral, but What deserves its flowers too.
08:30In fact, a What dance challenge might be harder.
08:42Number 2, Maharani, Alamat.
08:52If there's any P-pop group that has made it their mission to showcase the richness of Filipino
08:57culture on the world stage, it is this one.
08:59Alamat has a special fondness for incorporating traditional Pinoy art forms in their work.
09:09According to Nylon Manila, folk dances like Pangale, Takik, and Bene Rashon inspired choreographer
09:15Jim Amen from Maharani.
09:17Without a keen eye to spot such influences, which are blended with Western styles, you might
09:22think this routine is just another one of their visual masterpieces.
09:25However, if you know, you know.
09:27Try covering the dance and you'll quickly find out just how detailed the traditional
09:31steps are, and the utter grace needed to pull them off.

09:56Number 1, Magnet, BGYO.
09:58This multi-talented boy group is second to none when it comes to dance.
10:02Brian Puspos, who was once dubbed Male Choreographer of the Year by World of Dance and has created
10:07pieces for BTS, delivers an electric routine that's impossible to forget.
10:19It certainly helps that the BGYO members are outstanding dancers who bring an undeniable
10:24elan to every move.
10:26They alternate between a dashing allure and a rugged manliness, and so does the dance.
10:37We get popping and locking, romantic body rolls, and even a hint of tutting.
10:42Don't be surprised to find some Fred Astaire-inspired bits either.
10:45This is P-pop dance at its finest, and we love to see it.
10:49Who do you think is the best dancer in P-pop?
