00:00Hi everyone, welcome back to the channel.
00:09Today we are in a beautiful town of McLeod Gansh,
00:13also known as Little Lhasa, for its strong Tibetan influence.
00:18From peaceful monasteries and buzzing cafes to stunning views of Tauladhar mountains,
00:23here's everything you can do in a short trip.
00:26Just started a drone trick.
00:29Yesterday morning, we arrived at Dharamshala.
00:31There are many ways to reach McLeod Gansh from Dharamshala.
00:35You can take local buses or taxis.
00:37A personal taxi costs around 300 to 400 Indian rupees.
00:42Trek starts from Galu Devi temple.
00:44Though some people start from Dharamkut or even McLeod Gansh.
00:47It's about 7 kilometers high to the top.
00:49We are people from mountain and we can walk.
00:52And also the weather is very nice.
00:54So we decided to start our trek from McLeod Gansh itself.
00:59To come to McLeod Gansh, you'll have to first reach Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.
01:05And there are different ways you can reach Dharamshala.
01:07Whether you are taking train, bus, flight or even driving yourself.
01:10So if you are planning a trip to this beautiful hill town, stick around.
01:16I've got all the tips you need.
01:18First, let's start with the train route.
01:20You'll need to take train from Delhi to Patthankut.
01:23It's about 8 to 10 hours depending on which train you take.
01:26Once you reach Patthankut, you've got two options.
01:28Grab a shared taxi or hop on a local bus to Dharamshala.
01:32Which is about 90 kilometers from here.
01:34And takes around 2 and a half to 3 hours.
01:38If you are short on time, then flying is the fastest option.
01:40Dharamshala has its own airport.
01:43Ghagal Airport.
01:44Also called Kangra Airport.
01:46Flight from Delhi to Ghagal takes around about 1 and a half hours.
01:50And once you have landed at the airport,
01:51you are just 30 minutes away from Makhlaut Ganj or Dharmshala by taxi.
01:56So that's how you can reach Dharmshala.
01:57Four different ways depending on your time, budget and comfort.
02:01After reaching Makhlaut Ganj, we stayed here for a night.
02:06We are about to hike one of the most stunning treks in India.
02:09The Triund trek.
02:11So let's go.
02:19There is a walkable path and the hike complexity seems moderate.
02:35This is springtime and there is something magical about walking through the mountains in spring.
02:40When the rhododendrons are in full bloom.
02:42Every step on this trail feels like walking through the postcard.
02:45These vibrant blossoms, red, pink, even white, stretch across the forest like nature's own celebration.
02:52Locally, they call it Boransh.
02:53And it's not just beautiful.
02:55It's also used to make juice, jam and even traditional medicine.
02:59You'll often find locals collecting the petals early in the morning.
03:03The trail itself is peaceful.
03:05And trust me, this time of the season, the forest truly comes alive.
03:12So take it slow, breathe it in.
03:14There are moments that make every climb worth it.
03:17It's not just a trail.
03:18It's a passage through a living painting.
03:20When nature is the artist and every flower is a brushstroke.
03:24Some sections are slightly rocky, with gentle ascents.
03:27But nothing too strenuous.
03:29You'll want to pause often, not because you're tired, but because the scenery insists on being admired.
03:38The ground is soft with fallen petals.
03:40A natural carpet of colour under your boots.
03:42The air is cool, crisp, carries the faint sweet scent of the flowers.
03:48As the trail climbs higher, the forest begins to thin.
03:50And suddenly, the trees part.
04:01What lies ahead is not just the path, but a panoramic balcony over the entire valley below.
04:06To agree with your Kathy.
04:07Just for parents, I know how to fly though.
04:10You can see the map with crawly.
04:11Karin is not just the sun in the panoramic memELY.
04:12I had told you there, to hope you will沒有.
04:14As long as you can find in the wrong places.
04:15In a prayingSergan is not just the sun in the west.
04:16It's been the same because you have a strong gold corner.
04:17Those were written in the past.
04:17And the priest appears like they were the same.
04:18Enconnected in the past.
04:19The church described in the past.
04:20And with something at thecapulism.
04:21On the Avenue Avenue.
04:22Q2 is theIK indicates where grass whoaka has the ground.
04:25And here is not just the sun in the ground.
04:26The ancient As though that, and where a wall eyes,
04:30has the U ce god and that looks like.
05:00So I just came out of the forest and look at this view, the trail opens up and suddenly
05:07you see the whole valley below, it's incredible.
05:12Like you can actually see tiny houses, winding roads and hills going on forever.
05:18The wind feels cooler up here and honestly, it's one of those spots where you just want
05:24to stop, take breath and soak it all in.
05:29Everything's quiet, just the sound of wind, a few birds and that's it.
05:34No traffic, no noise, just peace.
05:38This is why I love coming to the mountains, moments like these, simple, silent and kind
05:43of perfect.
05:44Woohoo!
05:45We made it guys.
05:51After what feels like forever, we're finally at the top.
05:58Honestly, the climb was tough, but look at this view.
06:02It's all worth it.
06:03The whole valley is right beneath us and the mountains are just stunning.
06:09I can't believe we're finally here.
06:10After all that effort.
06:11It feels so good to just stop, relax and take in this place.
06:16The view, the air, the everything.
06:17It's like we're on the top of the world.
06:18Time for a little break and enjoy these amazing views.
06:19Trust me, I'm soaking it all in.
06:23I'm soaking it all in.
06:45I'm soaking it all in.
06:46I'm soaking it all in.
06:47I'm soaking it all in.
07:22Honestly, it took us about 4-6 hours to reach the top.
07:33So, if you're planning to do this trek, plan for about half a day.
07:37It's totally doable.
07:38Even if you're not an experienced hiker, but do pace yourself and enjoy the journey, not just the destination.
07:45Alright, we've made it to the top and now it's time to set up a camp.
07:48This is the best part, kicking back after the climb and making this place feel like home for the night.
07:55So, we've got our tent ready.
07:57The ground here is pretty flat.
08:00But we're making sure to clear out any rocks or sticks to get a comfy spot.
08:04Got our sleeping bags, mats and essentials laid out.
08:07I'll repeat again, the view here is amazing.
08:10I can't wait to just relax and take it all in once we are set up.
08:14And here we are, Dreyund top, sitting at about 2850 meters above the sea level.
08:21Just look at the snow-covered Dhaladhar peaks.
08:25You can chill here for a while, take photos or even camp overnight for the real Himalayan experience.
08:30If you camp overnight, make sure you wake up early.
08:35Sunrise at Dreyund is magical.
09:00Every turn opens up to incredible valley views.
09:09You'll find a few tea stalls where you can take a break.
09:12Trust me, that mountain chai hits different.
09:30The descent is easier but take it slow, those legs will feel the burn.
09:43The trek is perfect for beginners.
09:45The views feel like a dream.
09:46If you come to Himachal, do not skip the Dreyund trek.
