00:00The US president posted on his social media page on 5th of May that he would impose a

00:05100% tariff on films made outside the US.

00:10The American film industry is dying at a rapid pace.

00:12Other countries are offering all kinds of incentives to lure filmmakers and studios away from the

00:17US.

00:18That's why I'm authorizing the Department of Commerce to immediately begin the process

00:21of imposing a 100% tariff on all foreign produced films coming into our country, Donald Trump

00:27said in his post.

00:33The details are not known at all, but if it does happen, a lot of countries will be very

00:37badly off, including Hungary, where last year film spending was close to a billion dollars.

00:57Or a James Bond film, which is at least 4, 5 countries will be played.

01:48From journalists, Trump stressed that film production and the offshoring of films has

01:53decimated the U.S. film industry and that he wants to help not hurt the industry, which

01:58receives financial and other support abroad.
