Gregg Popovich s'est exprimé pour la première fois depuis qu'il a quitté son poste d'entraîneur des San Antonio Spurs, remerciant l'organisation d'avoir été présente depuis son attaque cérébrale en novembre, et félicitant Mitch Johnson d'avoir repris son rôle de manière permanente.

00:00I can never express the gratitude that I have for so many people carrying my organization

00:08and sending me thoughts, prayers, that sort of thing since I had the stroke.

00:19Things are getting better by the day, but it's not good enough for what we plan ahead.

00:27And so it's time to make this change.

00:31That's one of the reasons why Mitch Johnson will be taken over,

00:34because we have total faith in him to continue what's been started a long time ago.

00:39We won't let you down. We won't win every game, but we'll try to,

00:44and we'll do it with class, whether it's a win or a loss.

00:47One of the reasons that I'm doing this now is that we have to have someone in charge

00:54who's fully capable of giving their very best,

01:00because that's what this group deserves and demands.

01:04And we have that man here in San Antonio.

01:10There are futures.

01:12I know everything I can to help him and help them.

01:15I have a new job, and I want to make sure everybody understands what the new job is.
