00:21According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor is quietly developing his return to the character.

00:26But with a twist, Deadpool might not be the main character this time.

00:31Sources told the publication that Reynolds is exploring ideas for a Deadpool film that would

00:36include three or four X-Men characters, with the wise-cracking mercenary appearing in a supporting

00:42role. Sources say Reynolds believes that keeping his anti-hero more on the sidelines could allow

00:47the X-Men characters to be used in unexpected ways. It's worth noting that Reynolds' Deadpool film

00:53is not connected to the upcoming X-Men project currently being written by Michael Leslie for

00:58Marvel Studios.
