00:07So this is a report by one of Germany's main intelligence services, the Office for

00:13Constitutional Protection. As the name shows, their goal is to protect Germany's constitution,

00:19which of course came out of the post-war settlement after the Nazis were defeated.

00:25So they actually have significantly more powers than some comparable domestic intelligence

00:31organizations in other countries. So they're aiming, they look at parties, right-wing, left-wing

00:38extremist groups, as well as some religious groups, and are tasked with analyzing whether

00:44they are a threat to democracy.
