Draymond Green pays respects to 'incredible' Gregg Popovich

Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green paid tribute to Gregg Popovich, following the news of his retirement.

00:06none of us knew when that day would become that he hanged him up.

00:10but it sucks to see him go.

00:12you love running down the court

00:15seeing him on the sideline.

00:17i had the ultimate honor

00:20playing for him

00:21and winning a gold medal.

00:22and it meant so much to him

00:28he's one of the most incredible human beings

00:31you know you get this like

00:33this wall

00:35that everyone sees

00:37you ask a dumb question

00:39he's gonna crush you

00:40right like

00:41and it just appears as if he's like this

00:45mean old man

00:46and he is the complete opposite

00:49like complete opposite

00:51the nicest person

00:52you ever want to be around

00:54he cares about people so much

00:57and I was

00:59lucky enough and honored

01:01to have the opportunity to spend a summer with him

01:04and play

01:05for him

01:06every hug since then has meant so much

01:09to me

01:10just to go over to the sideline and hug him

01:13you know it sucked

01:14playing against the Spurs this year and look over and not see him there

01:17and to know that I'll never get that opportunity again

01:21I just wish I had one last time to go hug him on the sideline

01:24before a game

01:26his job well done

01:30well deserved retirement

01:32I hope he enjoys the hell out of it

01:34clearly

01:35he's not going far because he's going to stay working in basketball

01:38but man just everything he's meant to this game

01:43and

01:43I'm incredibly grateful that I had the opportunity to play for him

01:49because it doesn't have a feeling that he's gonna do
