Mike Waltz has been removed from his job as U.S. national security advisor, the first major sacking of Donald Trump’s second term cabinet. Marco Rubio will replace him in the interim.

00:18in a social media post by President Donald Trump, where he revealed that Mike Waltz would no longer

00:24be serving as National Security Advisor, the first major personnel shake-up in Trump's second term.

00:31In Waltz's place, in the interim, Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

01:07Waltz for his service. He has served his country so well in so many different capacities. Just really

01:13proud of him and his service. Thank you. And while Democrats celebrate his removal,

01:18some are concerned that Waltz is being used as a scapegoat.

01:22The Trump security team is a hot mess, and the one who should go is not the fall guy,

01:29Michael Waltz. It is the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, who is responsible. He should be held accountable.

01:35He should be fired right now.

01:39It's also expected that Alex Wong, the Deputy National Security Advisor, and others may also soon be ousted.

01:46Trump is yet to make any announcements about who might relieve Marco Rubio as National Security
