00:00Well, I have to say this, because I think this is very beautiful and poetic and magical.

00:07I know that you and the late Paul Walker, y'all kind of have this thing that's saying

00:10that y'all, you wanted it to last ten, you were like, how many can we get out of it,

00:16do you think, with this franchise?

00:17And the goal, I heard the goal was to get to ten, is that true?

00:23Paul and I started, let me take you back.

00:28We were in Mexico, before the first film that had ever opened.

00:35We were sitting at an airport, our duffel bags were at the side, we were sitting on the floor.

00:41We had just come from this place called MTV Spring Break thing that they had.

00:45I've done that before.

00:46You know what I mean?

00:47That's crazy.

00:48It was crazy.

00:49And he said to me,

00:53Vin, take all this in as people are walking over our feet and not looking at us.

01:02And he said, take in the fact that we have anonymity, because once this movie comes out,

01:15we will no longer have anonymity.

01:18Aw, the pride in that.

01:20That's amazing.

01:21You believed in it.

01:22He believed in it.

01:24And he would always say, whenever we would go to a premiere around the world,

01:34whenever I would exit the theater, it would only be him and I.

01:38No other directors, writers, producers, studio, cast.

01:42Nobody would just have to be him and I.

01:44And he'd always whisper in my ear and say, Vin, the best one's still in the can.

01:52And we were doing an interview in London, and they asked him, we had just done six, and

01:56they said, is there going to be another one?

01:57And he said, Vin, is there going to be any more?

02:01Is there going to be a seven and eight and a nine?

02:05And I said, the question isn't, is it seven, I'm going to confuse you, seven, eight, nine,

02:10it's, is it seven, eight, nine, ten?

02:14And when I said ten, he looked at me and said, if we ever got to ten, we would do something

02:19no one's ever done in cinematic history.

02:23And now ten is ten.

02:25So it's incredible that like, I know he was there in spirit and at heart, but he wasn't

02:33able to be there for this ten.

02:34But it's incredible to know that, you know, whatever you believe in, he's looking down

02:39going, damn, they did it.

02:40They made it to ten.

02:41That's incredible.

02:42It's an incredible franchise.

02:44It's so, it's so crazy and I'm so grateful.

02:48You know, this is a franchise that's never had an inherited fan, meaning there's never

02:54been a comic book, there's never been a TV show.

03:04continued on and who knew that in 2023 that we would need a saga like this to remind us
